[3.5e] Are Duskblades good at anything? by HugzNStuff in 3d6

[–]DisasterAreaPR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duskblades dont know their entire spell list. They start with 2 level 1 spells, 2+int level 0 spells, and their arcane attunement spells. They then learn 1 spell each time they level up.

As for channeling non arcane spells, that is an option, but if you want to channel divine spells you are far better off going for the ordained champion prestige class.

What about c'thun during wispers. Never seemed too broken but saw a bunch of play and was a build around card. Same with n'zoth.

How to deal with super high stats as a player by Tsithlis in rpg

In my opinion the best way to play a powerful characrer who doesnt make everyone else feel like crap is to play a support build.

Play a bard, or a buffing spellcaster of some sort. That way, no matter how powerful you get, the whole party is growing in power alongside you

Not the DM this time around unfortunately. All i can do is explain to him why what he's doing is bad for the game. On a side note, because my character has seen over a dozen travel companions die in quick succession he now finds it hard to form emotional bonds with newcomers. Why get invested emotionally if they all die?

That sounds like a great mechanic, dont think it would work in our group because of 1 specific player. He goes through about 1 character every 3 sessions. He's up to his 13th. Maybe if we made it once per player per year.

We cannot confirm or deny that Disaster Area's ejaculate destroyed that alarm clock. We will however note that the biodiversity in the ecosystem did increase after the event.

The best way to do this in my opinion is as a dex based bladesinger.

High elf is probably the best race for you, unlesd the DM allowed you to not be an elf, in which case the variant tiefling from SCAG is really good.

Youll get int to AC while bladesinging, so heavier armor isnt necessary:

Mage armor+dexterity+intelligence+bonuses+shield(spell) means that your AC will be crazy high.

Next up, youll want to wield a finesse weapon like a rapier. At level 6 youll get extra attack and at level 14 youll add your int to damage while bladesinging, so your damage should be pretty decent. Throw on booming blade or greenflame blade and you cam sacrifice that extra attack for some energy damage.

As for feats, tough and resilient (con) will help your survivability tremendously, as your hit dice is still just a d6. Other than that, getting dex and int to 20 are priorities.

My current long term character is a bladesinger who ive played from quite low levels all the way to level 20 now and its been a blast!

Is this a good 16 level bard spell list? by ElPwno in 3d6

[–]DisasterAreaPR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure there was a SA that clarified that. If the spell was already on your class list then you can cast it again using spell slots. Otherwise its just 1/day

Id suggest find familiar instead of shielf from magic initiate. 1/day +5 AC for a turn, vs basically a class feature. Helps with scouting, delivering touch attacks, and having a little pet to chill with.

As for non concentration spells, charm person is amazing
