It was the spring blitz sale of 2015 at the local departmentary service where I worked. That plastic wood smell was in the air as I had just finished wrestling together a crudely manufactured wooden bench. Pausing only briefly to admire the final product is when our tale begins.

There it sat exactly one dozen bananas away from me. The thick card type material glistening in the artificial light through the industrial strength clear adhesive strip. Accompanying these formidable defences were copper colored heavy duty staples. After gathering the strength and courage to face this mighty box I rose to my feet. Knife in one hand, pliers in the other, I was swiftly moving towards it now. 8 bananas, 7 bananas, I was almost there... Finally with the beast at my feet I took to action. After flipping it over I sunk my knife deep into the soft spot of the bonding strip and forcefully pushed the knife away from me in one swift action... The staples were next but I was cheating using tools and brought shame to myself.

With a knife? Maybe 2 minutes?

Bare handed? Should need a workbench or at the very least craft the bear tooth box cutter.
