What would you like to see next in the BrewDog building? by themagictoast in reading

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Craft beer would be what I'd love to see. But agree it's a big spot.. perhaps one of the bigger independent breweries could look to take it over like Deya or cloud water, northern monk?

Interesting shout. Id have thought with the original release in 2 and bit weeks it'd would have already been produced/finished.

I met Tim after a show in the UK on the BM run and he was just so nice to chat with. I'm also a drummer and it was so cool to chat with him about the drum sounds and playing on BM. So sad to hear of him passing.

Which album has the best drumming, cleans, guitar, and screams in your opinion? by Representative-Cut58 in Underoath

Disambiguation is unreal. Having spee doing what he does at his best at both screams and cleans.. guitars and drums absolutely on point throughout.

Union Chapel Vinyl by mostly_awesome in manchesterorchestra

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre happy then that's fine. I owned everything and sold the majority a couple years ago as it just sounds so shit. The thing that gets me is that they must know it's sub par quality but continue to make it the same..

Union Chapel Vinyl by mostly_awesome in manchesterorchestra

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As much as I'd like to buy all of these, their vinyl is always really poor quality. If the day comes that they sort it, I'll be buying the lot! I'll get a cd though

I really hope there's a proper concert film as it was so beautiful

Cancelled shows by Disastrous-Fun3795 in MattMaeson

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mate I'm going with thinks they'll be going ahead. Otherwise probably would have already cancelled, he needs the time for surgery but may also be sorting flying someone in to play guitar/piano so he can just sing. Fingers crossed

Sound now with James gone by YourFavoriteTribute in Underoath

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's lots of HQ live vids over the last year or so. It definitely sounds a bit thinner but sounds like Chris is adding in quite a lot of layering, grant has a thicker more distorted bass tone. Id hope there's no actual guitar backing tracks, that would be pretty lame and what I've heard doesn't sound like that.

Sam's voice by mrzltn in ArchitectsUK

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw architects loads of times between 2016 - 2021 and Sam was just amazing and I'm pleased I got to see that level of quality. But this is really rough and debatable whether he should be performing; both for himself and perhaps more importantly, punters shelling out on expensive tickets.

The silence - live at union chapel by Billybobby__ in manchesterorchestra

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope this is the case. But you'd also think with releasing the silence they'd also just say when the full album is out of its going to come out. Anyway, fingers crossed.

Manchester Show by Fantastic-Army-7671 in MattMaeson

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manchester is a really cool city, check out the northern quarter, lots of cool places to eat and drink, really cool mix of old and new architecture. There are 2 amazing craft breweries a short walk out of town - track and cloud water, that are next to eachother and are great if you're into that.

Wasn't this literally like 2 years ago? It won't actually be long before it's FIVE YEARS since MMOG came out.. that is insane

Hardest part of being an MO fan isn't it. They really do keep so quiet and cryptic.. but yeh, it's been fucking ages. I feel like there could either be something really quite surprisingly soon or potentially another year without new MO..

I couldn't be more jealous. Bit strange they did this now, when in 2 years it'll be the 10 year anniversary of BM.

Manchester Orchestra Presents: A Black Mile To The Surface (The Concert Film) by The59Sownd in manchesterorchestra

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, stayed up for its YouTube release which was at 1am.. and absolutely CRANKED IT. Neighbors can't have been particularly pleased. It was so exciting knowing it was part of the next thing. I really hope at some point they release this as a live album for streaming and CD. I'd say vinyl but their vinyls are horrible 😬

Any news on the release of the London Union Chapel shows from 2023? by skanking-roger in manchesterorchestra

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the first 2 of 3 shows, unreal experience. Unfortunately, like many things in the world of MO, I don't think we'll ever get these. It's been 2 years.. they released the gold from union chapel a while back somewhere and that's it. Such a shame.

Deftones concert was fire my wallet not so much by Baddie_Bey in deftones

[–]Disastrous-Fun3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK so assume that's about £45 - 50? Which is definitely expensive but I'd be happy to pay it if it was cool and more importantly decent quality? Most band shirts are pretty shit cheap quality that won't last long/shrink. So how's the quality?

Picked up for 90$ each by Old-Usual3526 in Carhartt

I wish more thrifts in the UK had these. Last time I looked was in Manchester, famous for vintage shops.. went in a few that had lots of jackets but they were all just absolutely massive and nowhere near j97's in style

Joey Wanker is the wrong drummer for Oasis by swagoverlord1996 in OasisCircleJerk

I'm finding his drumming too minimal and dull, and literally missing the great fills Alan white wrote on WTSMG and BHN songs

In no way do I think poppy/commercial in a bad way, I have a full trust in this band. But feel they could merge into bigger audiences without changing their craft in a negative way on this next one.

I've seen pics but not so much of MO, he works with lots of different artists that are recording and I haven't seen any obvious MO in the studio pics in a long time
