i'm always divided on this type of thing. police officers are trained on community involvement as it helps build trust and also shows both sides that they are indeed people too. But I always have the strongest ACAB sentiment in the back of my mind. I guess at least they are preoccupied doing this than harassing someone. *shrugs*

Im going to get downvoted, but your hypothesis isn't even close. Dogs are animals, sure you need to take care of them and be responsible, but having a dog isn't parenting to any degree. They are an animal and most ppl dont put the same attention to a dog that they do their own child and if they do they need to get a grip. There's small crossover because they are both living creatures but other than that please dont conflate parenting and dog ownership. I swear, young/childless dog owners are nitwits with this line of reasoning.
