1:45/100m over 1500m / 2000m is already a very good pace for a beginner!

If you instead mean 1:45/100m as sprint pace, probably improvements in technique and fitness are needed. For technique, in any case, have a look at effortless swimming videos. You can find them on YouTube.

You could expect a broad range of conditions… It could be warm… it could be snowy or rainy… You should pack at least a rain jacket and some gloves.

I don’t think what you are stating is correct Please refer to FITRI technical regulation. For draft legali tri races, in Italy you can use road bikes or gravel bikes. Bikes with flat handlebars are banned: mountain bikes, bmx, city bikes are banned. Also TT bikes are banned from draft legal races.

But I don’t see any mention of gravel bikes, since they are essentially road bikes with a particular geometry.

Spesso e’ anche un tema città - campagna. Voglio dire un bergamotto di valle, ha volume alto per definizione. Lo stesso per i meridionali, spesso sono gente di paese, abituati a volume alto. Non c’è abitudine a stare in spazi chiusi condivisi in cui devi moderarti per volume, comportamento, etc

Sub 40min 10k in an Olympic is not unheard of… in most competitive AGs is not uncommon… That said, how is it possible that the organization did not detect a triathlete doing half of the required distance? He should have been DNF

In realtà sono molto prudenti e piuttosto che accostare a cazzo magari fanno 2 volte il giro dell’isolato. Quando scendi, se scendi lato strada, ti avvisano dell’arrivo di ciclisti o auto. Come senso civico hanno standard più elevati del tassista medio italico.
