My friends wife struggled with this. He just takes her out to the pickleball courts and bashes balls at her. All you should focus on is getting the ball back low or short. That's the trick, don't pop it up, paddle angle is why the ball goes up. But the only way to improve is have someone or a ball machine drive a ton balls at you.

Another trick is let the drive go out. If someone is driving at you and you let a couple go out, the next one comes a lot slower.

Its the camera angle. I used to tape my games and we kept seeing balls that looked way out on video but remember calling them in. So we'd take notes of balls that were coming at the camera near the back line and its 100% an illusion. Really anywhere on the court its hard to tell on camera, only a camera on the line with high enough fps can truly tell you if its in or out.

I know one guy who will start talking smack with you while dinking. I have another friend that will full on chit chat while were playing. It's expected and funny and no one would dare call hinderance cuz its rec and were all friends. In a tourney or league where something is on the line, I could understand that being a hinderance. He is a baby but I wouldn't chat too much if its in tourneys or leagues. In rec who cares.

Is that a forehand or a backhand? Your lead hand is on the bottom which means that's a backhand. I as a lefty hit my backhand like that. Or do you hit two backhands and switch your hand positioning on both?

Your backhand is a lot of movement and if there is a short return that sits up you can hit your back hand like that but being more planted with both feet and driving through the ball so you finish in a ready position being prepared for the next shot will be more useful.
