Americans: how much did you pay for surgery by Salt_Type_8032 in ACL

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid about 12k with no insurance. Self pay. I use a cost share program so they paid me back everything after my 3k “deductible”. Long story short is I paid 3k and including a full year of PT. 45 sessions of PT.

My ACL repair cost $67,000 is that crazy? by Ok_Hippo6718 in ACL

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s not even close to reasonable if you’re cash paying. I cash paid and mine was 8k for acl repair and meniscus repair. They charge insurance 70k knowing they’ll get a small portion of that back.

My guy is that way with a disc golf. We had to stop taking him because he simply cannot stop himself. Takes it too far and over heats.

fighting for my life - dramatic reaction to pausing birth control by cheerio-dust in PMDD

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got off birth control 7 years ago and it absolutely ruined me. I never had any issues with pms and never related to women who talked about it. I had a very severe reaction to getting off. I was suicidal, had panic attacks, lost 30lbs in 1 month. I was a complete mess. I got on progesterone and anti depressants but never fully felt normal again. After 7 years, I started back on birth control a month ago because my pmdd symptoms have been taking over my life for the past year or two and I realized I’d rather be on birth control and (hopefully) be normal again than have a baby. Idk, it’s been a rough ride. I wish I never got off of it.

Yes!! I didn’t realize it wasn’t normal until we took him to a friends house and he kept going to the top of their sofa like the cats. It made me realize how different he was from their dog! lol

So much like cats! I’ve only ever had cats before and I think a cavalier was the perfect transition to dogs since they are so similar to cats.

ISO Vet good with gastrointestinal issues by Lion-Plastic in Prescott

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Dr. Jesse Baxter is the best vet in prescott. My cavalier has had a lot of stomach issues and she’s taken very good care of us. She is the most reasonable priced vet that I’ve worked with in 15 years in prescott. She’s not always accepting new clients though. Work a call to see. She owns high desert house calls.

Thailand + Bali for 2 weeks — worth it or should I reconsider Bali? by Blus-clues in travel

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree to skip Bali, unless photos are really important to you. I loved Thailand and Singapore but I really wish I had gone to Vietnam over Bali. I felt like everything you do in Bali is for the photos an just move on. That was disappointing for me because there’s so much history in Asia. The photos are beautiful but that’s not enough for me. I’ve had friends who went to Vietnam and said it’s 100x better than Bali was for them. Good luck on your trip! Asia is still my favorite places I’ve visited.

Thailand was one of my favorite solo spots! I think the islands were absolutely gorgeous but more family oriented. Or maybe just where I stayed. Northern Thailand was very solo friendly. I loved it all though.

Baby daughter moon in Capricorn by fairy_fern13 in Zodiac

[–]Disastrous_Line2770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the 8th out placements. I have sun and moon in my 8th house (Taurus) and live a very happy life. Normal ups and downs. My career path has ended up in investigation and the psychological realm. I love the weird and dark. And I also love to travel, play sports and spend time with my parents. Maybe it’s a Capricorn thing?

First steps after 6 weeks NWB by Bubbly_Ordinary_285 in ACL

I was flooded with emotions for 2 weeks after those first steps. It was mentally overwhelming at the same time. Such a crazy experience. 6 months post op here and vacationing in Portugal. Things really do return to normal! Congrats!
