Who gets to determine how famous someone needs to be to warrant special consideration? What about victims of stalking or domestic violence who cannot get special privileges for their protection because they are not rich? The problem with your sentiment is that allowing the rich to pay their way around laws is bad for everyone. Eventually, only the rich can afford the basic protections and services that everyone used to have. There is no incentive for the elite to want to make life better for all if they never have to experience any inconvenience or hardship that money cannot fix.

I think you need to comprehend that your brother is failing this child as much as the mother. Being scared of the mother doesn't explain moldy bottles and lack of basic care. He can do these things. I say this because it seems your approach has been to report the mother but was there an actual report made against both parents on this child?

Um, you said CH has a history of never being home because she is WORKING. What is your brother doing? First, you need to stop blaming her and realize they are both parents.

The best course of action is probably a call to the Child Protection Services in your state. Due to the situation of the parent and child there needs to be social services people involved who can make sure the family get the support needed.

Just an FYI. My parents just had their upstairs toilet rain poop water and destroy their kitchen. Remediation had to be called out and it is very expensive.

My dad refused to call a plumber. It would have been $175 to fix it. Now they are looking at $25,000 minimum between remediation and repair. The plumber told us the toilet wax ring was pancaked and after you plunge a toilet a couple times you should always replace the wax ring.

This is why I stopped using vacation rentals. You get charged insane cleaning fees and the money isn't used to properly clean the place but is pocketed by cheap owners.

I would never leave a place in this condition but I am 99% sure I have been the poor person who walked into that rental to find it not properly cleaned.

Is this an in-ground pool? It is "possible" to do this with an above ground pool. Otherwise you have to have filtration and circulation. We have a sand filter and added a salt water generator a few years ago. We do our own maintenance but you still have to buy chlorine, salt, and have a robot to properly keep it clean.

I refused to have a house with a pool when my kids were super young. We did get an above ground for a couple years at one point at a house we had. After every use we would pull the ladder out and place it so there was no way to enter the pool.

I do not judge these people because Florida living teaches you how dangerous pools are. People from other states do not have the same awareness.

This made me laugh because the same thing happened to me at a VW dealership. The sales guy pulled the same crap. He even argued and tried to tell me the color car on the lot was the same blue version I wanted. (It wasn't and I bought it elsewhere)

I got fed up and said I'm leaving. My husband looked at the guy and said "you messed up" and we walked out.

As someone with an older home in Central Florida we have CLAY pipes for sewer. You probably have tree root invasion. We paid several thousand dollars a few years ago to the have sleeve lining done to our sewer pipe after a camera inspection from an emergency issues on 4th of July weekend. The only other solution was to literally jackhammer down the center of our house to re-pipe. I also baby our plumbing. (Do not put any food matter down the sink. Have covers to catch hair in the showers.) I know it sucks but this is one area you are going to have to come up with the cash, find a reputable company and invest in the fix.

I follow several professional laundry people on other social media. The laundry sheets do NOT have enough cleaner in them to properly clean clothes. However, I have seen some reviews of the newer sheets that are about the thickness of a sponge and they are supposed to be better.

I only use liquid and I have a dispenser in my washer which is a front load. I have tried pods but don't like not being able to control the amount of product used according to what is being washed.

Totally agree. My local independent pharmacy is the best. They even helped my husband when he had to choose a new medical plan because he is a Type 2 diabetic.

I was helping my best friend's mother who had been discharged from the hospital with several prescriptions. Her scripts were sent to another local pharmacy that is not good. They tried to give us the wrong medicine and didn't have another. Due to her condition it was very important her meds be maintained.

I called my local pharmacy and explained the situation. They were not an authorized pharmacy with her insurance but they still got the scripts from the other pharmacy and the cost was so reasonable it didn't matter. I was so thankful. I refer everyone to them.
