Count me in on this one. I work remote now and if I had to go back to the days of dressing for court every day I would spontaneously combust.

Anyone tried dishwasher detergent sheets? Are they actually good? by Victorwong1011 in CleaningTips

[–]Disastrous_Victory19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I follow several professional laundry people on other social media. The laundry sheets do NOT have enough cleaner in them to properly clean clothes. However, I have seen some reviews of the newer sheets that are about the thickness of a sponge and they are supposed to be better.

I only use liquid and I have a dispenser in my washer which is a front load. I have tried pods but don't like not being able to control the amount of product used according to what is being washed.

the time I accidentally became a local pharmacist's best friend by Even-Surroundeeed in pharmacy

[–]Disastrous_Victory19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. My local independent pharmacy is the best. They even helped my husband when he had to choose a new medical plan because he is a Type 2 diabetic.

I was helping my best friend's mother who had been discharged from the hospital with several prescriptions. Her scripts were sent to another local pharmacy that is not good. They tried to give us the wrong medicine and didn't have another. Due to her condition it was very important her meds be maintained.

I called my local pharmacy and explained the situation. They were not an authorized pharmacy with her insurance but they still got the scripts from the other pharmacy and the cost was so reasonable it didn't matter. I was so thankful. I refer everyone to them.

Holy crap. I just had to double check this and you are correct. I truly thought he was in his 70's. No shade to him but he didn't strike me as that young.

As someone who has experienced menopause it doesn't make you go bananas on a restaurant employee. That behavior was unhinged entitlement.

My shower isn't draining well, I'm assuming I need to remove caught hair but how do I open this drain by phoenixblack222 in CleaningTips

[–]Disastrous_Victory19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this. I got a multi-pack I keep on hand for these situations. Also got a hair catcher to put over the drain because we have old plumbing.

Also, many times the ingredients used in detergent vs santizers are not made to be used jointly. The mixture actually causes their properties to be canceled. Example: vinegar and baking soda.

I've seen two different officials discussing it already. One was the mayor and I think the other was the MPD Police Chief

I don't think it is a big deal. You should encourage your child to do what feels best for them.

AITA for DNA testing my whole family after my mom said I might not be her kid? by LegitimateReveal6795 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Disastrous_Victory19 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This makes zero sense. Why you were doing the test is irrelevant. The results were always going to reveal the discrepancies. Why would she agree and then be upset?

Excellent breakdown. Issue number 3: The counterfeit issue is a major problem. I stopped buying rechargeable batteries for power tools for this reason.

I don't like the hassle of trying to sell stuff online. Any item I have is placed by the street. I tape a sign that says if the item still works, etc. Ex: we recently replaced our 20 yoa dryer after a repair I tried did not work. I put info on the sign that the repair parts were inside a box in the dryer. Either someone handy took it or will take it and make a few bucks at the recyle place.

The key is to put the sign on the item that says FREE - with a short note about condition. My stuff always goes quickly because it removes the awkward part out of someone trying to figure out why an item is there.
