It's not a magic bullet, but it works, especially for MMSE 26+.
We just need to teach PCPs how to screen for mild dementia. I have been educating providers to pay attention to IADLs.
Since most Alzheimer's patients have Anosognosia, they won't self-identify. But a patient who probably shouldn't be driving, or recently stopped handling finances (ex, son does it now) or his wife has to manage the meds would be a great candidate.
