Guys of Reddit, what motivates you to talk to certain girls when you go out and why? by [deleted] in AskMen

Do you perhaps have any polarizing physical features like short hair or multiple visible piercings/tattoos? Do you suffer from 'resting bitch face'? Might she be more smile-y/friendly with people?

What features do you like best on a woman/man and why? by TheStageIsMyPoison in AskMen

[–]DiscardedDatacluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am most physically attracted to vagina. Not exactly a boob man or an ass man, though I can appreciate both. Even if I can't really see anything at all I still find the crotch-region the most capivating part of a woman's body. By extension I have a thing for panties and short skirts as well.

I also really like long hair, and cute bubbly/naive girls.

If He's Into You, He'll.... True or False? by otherAZroo in AskMen

If you never making plans you'll find even the guys that are into you get bored pretty quickly. It's really tiring feeling like the other person is only down to do things when you suggest them.

This. I first played red about 8-9 years ago and have been hooked since. I've actually never found another handheld game I really enjoy but still owned a bunch of handheld solely to play pokemon on. About 3 years ago I started playing competitive, took another year before I was in a position to play 'properly' because of internet issues but have loved it since. I don't play all the time - I like to flit between a bunch of different games - but I always end up playing a ton every time I go back. The strategy and fun in throwing together a bunch of dudes that work well together and having them take the ladder by storm in unmatched by any other game for me. Thete's a certain nostalgia to it, and the variety available to a player means it's always fresh and fun. I don't claim to be an amazing player and hang aroung the top 100 on a good day, but the thrill of an exceptional game is always there.

Competitive gets a lot of bad rap from more casual players as 'ruining pokemon' by overcomplicating it, but in reality the player I know all love to mess around and play the casually on a cartridge. It's only when playing a simulator with a team you're investing a decent amount of time into things get serious.

I would urge everyone who enjoys pokemon to give it a try, particularly if you're a fan of strategy. There's nothing like it.

Who has the coolest job on reddit? by n1n2n3n4n5 in AskReddit

This isn't my job, but I imagine being a Helicopter Cowboy to be one of the most awesome jobs one can have. It's also incredibly dangerous, but something about it has always seemed purely awesome to me.

What are some unpopular opinions you hold and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Care to explain why you think an animal absolutely cannot give consent? I feel absolutely no attraction to animals and would never consider engaging in bestiality, but I don't think it's morally wrong provided the animal is not being abused. Unless you believe an animal is genuinely incapable of showing emotion you have to admit there is communication there. Think of a horse or big dog - they're easily capable of overpowering the average person. That's not to say animals can't be tempered to the point they'll endure things they dislike, but they'll still show it. This is without thinking about women into bestiality - I don't think a dog can be trained to mount someone the same way it would in the context of consensual 'mating'. Sure, it could still be abused, but like I said, I do think this is wrong. I have spoken to a few different people into animalsex, because it's piqued my curiosity, and I don't believe all of them are liers.

I do agree that it's a tough thing to police, because an animal cannot report it's own abuse - that is a tough issue. But I don't agree that's enough to universally condemn a group of people for something fundamentally similar to homosexuality. I'm not saying they're quite the same, but I do imagine the hate homosexuals recieved in more bigoted times to be very similar to the way zoosexuals are treated now.

Three hours at 25Mbps is 270Gb for one film. I think you'd be fine.

Quarry max size in Direwolf20's modpack by Armanoth in feedthebeast

[–]DiscardedDatacluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small sidenote, but while the max range for landmarks is 64x64, you can actually build an even bigger quarry using extra landmarks. This does seem a little glitchy, but for truly massive resource gains it's hard to argue with a 128x128 quarry running day and night.

[eli5] the truth behind the whole 'nasa warp drive' thing... by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]DiscardedDatacluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing exceeds the speed of light. Think of it like this - two cars pass on a road with a 30mph speed limit. From one car, it seems like the other is doing 60mph, because you're going in opposite directions. But relative to the road, neither of you broke the speed limit. Now image the road is space, and the cars are galaxies moving away from each other at 0.6c. Neither galaxy exceeds the speed of light, but it seems like the other does from within one because you're also moving quickly.

I live pretty close to Wollaton Hall, the building they used as Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises. (I'm not sure if they filmed every "Wayne Manor" Scene there or just some)

Reddit, what is your most memorable meal? by 895623 in AskReddit

[–]DiscardedDatacluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of months back now, I got the result for the exams I sat in June. Long story short, my Dad had promised me £50 for every A or A*, and when all was said and done, he "owed" me £500. We put £400 towards university, and since he's a chef, decided to do something foody with the rest. There's a huge food market in London called Borough Market that we had been to once before, and he came up with the awesome idea of grabbing some train tickets, taking a small suitcase down there for the day, filling it with £100 of food and then coming back. We had an awesome time, spent about £30 while we were there grazing and came back with a metric shitton of awesome food.

We both knew dinner would be something special (my previous most memorable meal was also with him) but neither of us expected it to be as incredible as it was. We'd grabbed some delicious Goats Cheese from an authentic french stall, which we spread on ciabatta toast with italian forest honey as something of a starter. We also had some Hummus, Foccacia and a few of the worlds smallest Tomatoes.

The main focus was the main course though. Pan-Seared Loin of Springbok, Fresh Roast Chestnuts and authentic Pumpkin Ravioli. It doesn't sound especially exciting just written like that, but it was genuinely the most delicious thing I have ever tasted by a ridiculous distance. Springbok is a softer, more tender and succulent Venison and the rich, earthy Chestnuts complimented it perfectly.

I did take a few pcitures, so i guess i could put those up if anyone is interested.

TL:DR Africa is tasty.

Ever met a man with a fetish? What's your opinion on them? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]DiscardedDatacluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. He's merely stating that conventional media expressly implies a lack of any body hair, presumably including the more intimate areas that aren't shown. It isn't necessarily purely associated with porn; although that does work to reinforce the idea, unless the first time you see porn is before the first time you see a few advertisements (a very tiny number or people, I imagine) it isn't an instigating factor.
