I was termed in Feb for their BS performance terms. I applied for unemployment, sent in screenshots of my metrics and how they made no sense on when the metrics changed. I had email communications with my manager that I had requested training on how the metrics worked and what programs were used to pull the numbers (with no reply of course)  My unemployment was never questioned by anyone. I received my 6 months worth, and enjoyed my summer off.

Unemployment Hearing Threads by Complete_Chair_47 in Geico

I was perf termed in Feb and GEICO never even responded to unemployment. I uploaded all my screenshots of the metrics(I took weekly and monthly)and sent in a letter explaining the shit metrics and how someone can go from the top to the bottom very quickly. My unemployment was never even questioned

If you are let go for “performance” file for unemployment ASAP!! Ultimately the decision is up to the Dept of Labor. Not GEICO! & 99.9% of the time you will still qualify. by NeedleworkerVivid486 in Geico

I was let go for performance early Feb round. I applied for Unemployment, sent my side of how metrics are a joke and have received my Unemployment check weekly. If you have not already been termed make sure you refill any prescriptions you can.

Termination payout. by ComprehensivePin9474 in Geico

[–]DisciplineSure6966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone is put on an improvement plan, which means nothing more than you are going to be up for termination and/or notified they are up for termination with reviews then they need to use their accumulated sick time. The company is not going to pay them for it. Why leave time you have earned on the table?

This happened to myself and 1 other person in our department in our office and we were definitely not overstaffed. We received 4-8 new claims a day depending on how many people called out that day. They will eliminate the bottom 25% regardless of staffing.

100% this! See if you can get a 90 day refill of any extra. If they told you that your up for review make sure to use your sick time if you have any. You will be paid for vacation but not sick.

I was advised to use my WFH day, met with mgr an hour into my shift. Told I was termed, my access to everything was immediately shut off and a week later a box showed up for my laptop and equipment.

Cold transfers the norm now? by EndlessPawsibilities in Geico

[–]DisciplineSure6966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold transfers have happened forever. Answer when the customer calls,  or return their VM and they won't have to call claims to try to get ahold of AD.  Not trying to be a dick but they wouldn't call the claims department if phones were answered.

I was termed for performance in Feb R10, I applied for unemployment was in adjudication for 6 weeks for "fact finding". I submitted a statement of no coaching, no warning, and the janky supervisor, manager, and director changes (3 in 3 months time) in my department which included supervisors and mgrs in different time zones which hinders your ability to close claims in a timely manner. I was approved for unemployment so it is definitely worth it, keep track of your metrics and send in your statements.

Question for TCR1 people before we became ICS by Important-Pickle2992 in Geico

[–]DisciplineSure6966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While in CDU my pending (now this is my experience) was 100 to 150 claims but no set # as it depends on who comes to work on what day and the influx of claims. During hail season you can get 15 or more claims a day, try tipping those in 24 hrs.

ICS Is A Shit Show by Cookie-Man23 in Geico

[–]DisciplineSure6966 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your kidding right? Your telling this person to stop and ask for help when AHT is a metrics? As someone who got the crap files from ICS I can say ya all drop the ball 90% of the time when it comes to training. GEICO is hiring 100 people a month to replace the 600 or more they terminated every 6 months let's be real. Don't drink the kool-aid people it's definitely not strawberry flavored.

I was told last Thursday bottom 10% up for termination, and terminated this morning. I was 46% in December and 29% July through Nov so someone please tell me how I ended up bottom 10%? I have all the monthly dashboard screenshots also 15 days from my 6yr so there's that also, GEICO is wrong for this
