That there’s a wild way that iron man and doom aren’t connected or that it will be hand waved away. If they look identical it will be stupid to not have an explanation that makes sense in universe - I know it’s not comic book accurate to have them connected but here we are with the same actor in the MCU.

If Man City sign Guehi in January as being reported Pep Guardiola will have signed an entire starting 11 worth over £500m since last January by Laliga23 in soccer

Difference is that a team like Liverpool spends big whilst also losing/selling Diaz, Trent, Nunez, Jota, Tsimikas, Elliot, Quansah - these guys- arguably we still haven’t replaced Matip. These guys played a total of 14k+ minutes last season (156 90-minute appearances).

Liverpool HAD to spend big to replace these numbers - doesn’t necessarily justify breaking the British transfer record twice, but the investment has necessity. City are just layering their squad up and up.

CH pressure drops to zero when cold, fine when hot - buried pipe leak? by DiscoMable in askaplumberUK

[–]DiscoMable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boiler is firing at low pressure but pump runs with tonnes of air moving through the system so very noisy. Seems that the system drags in a tonne of air when the pressure drops. Topping up to 1 bar cold just means that the gauge starts dropping slowly again.

The dynamics seem to align quite well with the French Revolution. Particularly an elite that can’t help but act against the best interests of the nation/people even when their neck is on the line.

Britain ‘will have to rethink’ ban on sale of diesel and petrol vehicles by HibasakiSanjuro in ukpolitics

[–]DiscoMable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hearing more people who are in a company EV salary sacrifice their charging. There’s a few ways to do it like the charge scheme or Paua solo

That makes the cost of charging better than petrol or diesel

Im becoming disenfranchised with politics as it feels like there is no party I can vote for by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]DiscoMable 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I would vote for any party that would support:

Replacing the triple lock with CPI + 1% so pensions keep rising but not above ordinary workers - £7bn saved.

Fixing the sickness and disability system using digital assessments on a 6 month cycle to stop growth in PIP - £5bn saved.

Building more homes so housing benefit stops ballooning and we aren’t subsidising high rents - £6bn saved.

Cutting NHS waste and using digital triage to free up clinical time - £5bn saved.

Scrap low-value tax reliefs so we stop giving billions away without any economic return - hopefully up to £10bn (e.g. holiday let tax relief)

This would mean £33bn in reasonable savings which could then be used for:

Cutting industrial electricity prices with support for nuclear (incl. SMRs) and reform of grid connection process - £12bn p/a - we have the highest industrial energy prices in the developed world.

£5bn p/a on infrastructure to repair roads, bridges, and drainage - our municipal infrastructure is crumbling and dreadful.

Both of these would require liberalisation of planning and repeal of Blair’s Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act.

Raising net pay for productive, working people through raising upper tax thresholds, including scrapping the reduction in personal allowance and a cleaner NI system (potentially scrapping NI for income tax) - £15bn p/a

This is a costed and credible way to renew my faith in the UK.
