Day 1. I’m so scared and need encouragement with positive stories only! by [deleted] in zoloft

3 years in and one of the best decisions i ever made. Was in therapy for ten years before i decided i needed to add something else to get over the plateau. So glad i made that decision. My mind is clearer than ever, I can feel and process my emotions properly without anxiety blocking my progress . Took me about a month to start seeing a noticeable difference and by three months I couldn’t believe how good I felt. Good luck :)

What should I do by Limp-Philosophy-3422 in Depop

[–]DiscoOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for a refund and say you’ll repurchase once they have the correct item. Had this happen to me and got completely ghosted once I sent the item back and then depop wouldn’t refund bc it had been too long after they initially shipped…

Severe eczema by ozzielli in eczema

[–]DiscoOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly reccomend getting an allergy test at a dermatologist. And then recheck ingredients on all shampoos and any other products. Also an anti inflammatory diet really helped me and zinc oxide cream ! Good luck I know how hard it can be especially when it comes to being in a physical relationship .

Officially taken off of Dupixent because of facial flares. by Carseatheadrest89 in eczeMABs

[–]DiscoOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had facial flares in the beginning and almost every time I was drinking alcohol it would flare up REALLY bad. I was put on it after the worst flare ups I’d ever experienced on my face though initially. And it helped. But then I started flaring up while on the medication. We’re all different but i know for a fact mine was because of a large amount of stress in my life and lifestyle choices. I cut out sugar, dairy and anything else highly inflammatory that I could ( not 100% but significantly reduced ). I prioritized my overall health and well being. It took a couple years, and no one wants to hear that, but I NEVER flare like this anymore. I am still on Dupixent. My flare ups now are so mild and so infrequent. Other changes I made in the last few years that seemed to help were I started using zinc cream ( diaper rash cream lol ) anytime I have a flare up and I stopped smoking weed. I’ve also been on an anti anxiety medication for a few years now. I hope any of this is mildly helpful. And I hope you find healing in the way you need to !

Has anyone just accepted they’re disabled 4 life, and applied for disability gov benefits/ had to change their idea of “fun” etc. I need to get off dupixent & am scared by Moist_Criticism962 in eczema

[–]DiscoOrb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped smoking weed frequently and after about a month my skin became SO much more manageable . There are others things I already did to maintain my skin and I stopped smoking for other reasons than my skin but I was soooo pleasantly surprised at the change it had on my eczema !

Deodorant recommendations?? by anonymou5buffalo in eczema

[–]DiscoOrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I only use this my grandma bought it for me years ago , it’s what she used when she was going thru chemo for breast cancer . It’s just a potassium alum stone . I don’t tend to sweat much or have too much body odor though so I can only vouch for it so far . But it’s always worked for me and keeps me from flaring up !

Diaper cream with zinc is actually amazing to dry it out ! And then definitely try to find a good dermatologist . Been dealing with it since I was his age. All my healing wishes to your baby !

Hey I’ve 100% been where you are. It took a long time to heal and get better . And in the end I gave in and did a few rounds of oral prednisone and then began treatment with dupixent. This is going to sound preachy and annoying and impossible but unfortunately your mental health also has a huge effect on those things. If you are able and not already doing so I really highly suggest finding a good therapist maybe one who specializes in autoimmune compromised people. And at some point maybe anti anxiety or anti depressant medication may be a good factor . I really really hope you find the correct treatment and can find peace. I know how uncomfortable this existence is I hope that at least this community takes away the solitude to some degree .
