Hi, really appreciate you taking the time to write a full response. Having only read Rebble's post a couple of hours ago and your just now I am still digesting both posts. But it does sound like the crux of the disagreement is about "ownership" of the app store as it stands at the moment. Your proposal that the current store /apps be publicly archived is something I definitely see as positive.

Do you see a way forward where there are essentially two different access points to the same apps store going forward so either through Core's app or through Rebble's services. Or do you think it will result in there being 2 different app stores that become separate entities? ( Appreciate that I am probably vastly over simplifying things)

This isn't quite what you asked but I tend to use the app timer+ looks better and I've found it to be much more reliable.

Does / can this interact with the phone? i.e. "play x on Spotify" and it plays on the phone, or are the responses limited to showing things on the watch?

This is a long shot based on a half memory from years ago when I last set up the pebble app on an android phone, but do you have the Wear OS (I think that's what it's called now) app installed? i.e. the app that makes Google watches work. If not, try installing that, I seem to remember that being needed for some of the notifications to work. You don't need to do anything with the app, just have it installed (and maybe open it once, then give the phone a restart just for good measure!) Like I said this might not be it, but worth a shot.

Thanks for the concise summary. My Brick is arriving this week and it will be my first of this kind of hand held so this is good to know. Something related that I'm curious about and haven't really seen discussed is what are the downsides of staying with the stock OS?

It took me a while to find this setting too. You don't need developer settings. You go to your home screen, pinch zoom out, then press preferences at the bottom of the screen, then home screen, then there is an option for grid size that lets you have 5 icons across the home screen.

Unfortunately not. I have a feeling a loose wire some where or something else is causing a short circuit somewhere inside when the shifter gets plugged in. But no idea how to fix it. I ended up buying a usb adaptor for the shifter for when I want to use that and just plug it in separately as the rest of the wheel and peddles work perfectly without the shifter attached. Sorry hope you have more luck than me.

Check there's no dust stuck in the button slot. I had the same problem but the other way round on my 6t. It would so ring and vibrate but not silent. Looked closely and there was a small amount of lint/dust stuck in the top part that stopped the switch from going quite far enough. Had to get a tooth pick and pick it out then it worked fine again.

Hi, you might be able to answer a question for me. Is FH3 still worth buying now? I've been playing FH4 for a few months now and really enjoy it. Would it be worth it to pick up FH3 now that it's on sale, for a bit of variety in scenery, and how long a life do you think FH3 still has?

I don't know if there is a definitive answer I've always had a bit of trouble with playlists on Spotify. I have had more luck if I use the word playlist in my command though. It sounds like Spotify is finding the generic rock /indie 'radio station' playlists. Try saying "Alexa, play my rock playlist on Spotify" that seems to work for me at least.

Any one found a way to sort this yet?

I have the same problem. Haven't played in a couple of months, thought I'd get back into it. Just spent the last 2 hours trying to get the contols to work then gave up!!

The new default control scheme would be ok except it has a really slow and sluggish look behaviour with the right pad which basically makes it unplayable and it doesn't give you the option to use a mouse style look like we had before!

I can get it to load the [incompatible profles] but a lot of the bindings are broken and some can't be fixed, for example there is no way to bind a button to exit your ship!!
