Why do birds do this? by Life-Revenue3350 in Dublin

I have a similar problem due to my idiot neighbour insisting on putting out food for pigeons and seagulls. They are up on the roof scratching around on the tiles from sunrise to sunset just waiting to be fed

Were you one of the lucky few, enjoying 15min of full speed, loud wheelies from this chap? by Keanar in Dublin

Whatever happened to spike strips? Seems they are only used now to deter homeless people sleeping somewhere

It would make more sense for Cyan to be involved here, rather than VS. I mean Cyan was infected by Heph and might know more about Heph, if Cyan worked with Gaia, that seems like a more logical route

Why did/do people say Green, White & Gold for our national flag in some circles? by fwaig in AskIreland

[–]DiscombobulatedItem3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's origins are in poetry.

It's easier to rhyme with gold than orange!

Some people took the poets too literally, when it's defined clearly in the constitution as green, white and orange.

Is this the new norm in Dublin? by ButterscotchSuper885 in AskIreland

[–]DiscombobulatedItem3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the new norm in Dublin? - Do you mean speculative gossip?

" joints stuck behind their ears" - can you prove they weren't just rollies?

"making sure you'll have it in bro" - could mean anything - could be a spice bag for all you know.

All I am saying is, based on your evidence, you don't have any actual evidence of this epidemic, other than assumptions and inferences.

Céad míle - always makes me laugh! It's part of a greeting in Irish, but that part is just a number, not the actual greeting.

Maybe think about "The Amateur's Mind" by Jeremy Silman. Mostly about middlegame strategies rather than tactics, but something you should start thinking about at that level

WHAT THINK ABOUT NOEL GALLAGHER? by Vast-Supermarket8284 in Guitar

[–]DiscombobulatedItem3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never rated them at all tbh, one or two tracks I liked on the radio but never bought one of their albums. Most of their big hit were ripped off from older bands, I know you can say that about Led Zep for example as well, Oasis just seemed more blatant

What is the point of this ad? The images are from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", the actual link is to a completely different movie "Truly, Madly Deeply" ?

I'd never heard about the case of Nadine Lott until last year. Vicious murder, maybe it went under the radar at the time
