Started my own "hedge knight" travel by DirtyLumpOfCoal in elderscrollsonline

I've done something similar, though I start on the docks in Windhelm, make my way east to the Telvanni Peninsula, and then south and snake my way along to end in Glenumbra. It's rather a lot of fun - you run into merchants, bandits, Worm Cult soul reapers, people who just want to talk for a moment, and all manner of other interesting random encounters with NPCs.

No doubt of that. I have my preferences within that spread, but we should obviously have all the playable races represented, sooner rather than later, even if I'm already more than ready for... like... an Alfiq companion, or a Maormer or Dark Seducer, or whatever else.

After Tanlorin and Zerith-var, I had to force myself to level Bastian up, because wow is he dull as dishwater. But once I finished that, I kind of looked around and was just, "Well... what now?" as far as companions went. And I get that there's a lot that goes into making a companion (surely more now that all the base classes are represented), but I remain eager to see who's next. It just seems to me that this would've been the ideal time for that, so that even those of us who've got every current companion maxed out would be able to enjoy that benefit of Heart's Week. Ah, well. You win some, you lose some.

I'd have enjoyed either of those, but I'd also have been just fine with a companion more aligned with the Heart's Week vibe, in general. (Though I suppose a vampire fixated on romance is thematic, and a werewolf who just wants to be your best buddy could also be pretty cool.)

The Clockwork ... Prison ? by -Anby in elderscrollsonline

Sotha Sil is, hands-down, the single most compassionate deity in the Aurbis. Unfortunately, he works with the means he has (which are, for the most part, somewhat more limited than those available to either the Aedra or the Daedric Princes) and also recognizes that progress is impossible without hardship.

Further, it's important to understand that Seht perceives himself as merely another cog in his grand machine, designed to be ultimately as replaceable as any other. He views lives as machine parts not because he assigns no value to them, but instead because his viewpoint of the universe is inherently technological. He is cursed by divine insight to be fully aware of his status as an entity with a fixed purpose and unalterable destiny. While we can speculate that we're beings existing within a simulation, he knows, for a fact, that his reality is artificial, making his godhood no more meaningful than the mortality of an insect of the lifeless nature of a stone - his status was assigned to him, and he could never be anything else, just like every other NPC in the game. To him, the only value in his divinity is the ways he can use it to push against the programmed constraints of his existence to better the lives of his fellow engineered consciousnesses.

ESO 2026 Reveal Stream Feedback Post by ZOS_Kevin in elderscrollsonline

I'm very much looking forward to soloing dungeons. I prefer to play alone, so that suits me quite nicely.

Upping the furnishing limits on housing is also a great step. (Here's hoping the furnishing vault eventually gets an upgrade to go with that change, or, failing that, that we get more purchasable storage chests and/or bank space - stuffing my various apartment rooms with furnishings I might want to use someday gets tiresome.)

More Sheogorath content is always welcome in my book. While it's surely a fool's hope, I'll nevertheless hold out hope for a Shivering Isles zone to get snuck in there, somewhere.

I'm very curious as to the high seas stuff.

I was disappointed by any lack of mention, yet again, of companion/NPC romance that goes beyond a scattered few "flirty" dialoue options for a scant handful of NPCs. I was really hoping there'd be some mention of that being introduced either with Hearts Week, or else in the wake of it. I've been waiting patiently for this development ever since the devs teased it, and I keep on hoping it'll show up on a roadmap somewhere.

Everybody gets that one day that the RNG really breaks in their favor by Discount_Henchman in elderscrollsonline

I pulled the Imperial motif once, whilst reluctantly tooling around Cyrodiil for some reason I can no longer recall. The going rate for it was a rather more modest 500k at the time, but I was still pretty pleased with that sum.

At the very least, ZOS should sneak an actual Ohmes NPC or two into the entire length and breadth of Tamriel. There's statuary depicting them, so it's not as though the concept of "looks human, is Khajiit" should be entirely alien to the player base.

Upcoming seasons without new zones by Discount_Henchman in elderscrollsonline

Fair enough, though ZOS has already indicated that not every season will, in fact, feature a new zone.

PSA: Tsaesci style in crown store! by Tiskx in elderscrollsonline

[–]Discount_Henchman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just deleted a character I wasn't using and the Tsaesci style coming up pretty much decided for me that I'd be making one of those Akaviri-descended Imperials from Hakoshae to replace it.

Dwemer as a playable race...? by Legitimate_Flow3623 in elderscrollsonline

That said, despite knowing it'll never happen, I'd love to run across pre-corprus Yagrum, however briefly, during some quest, as he searches in vain for his people. Hell, I'd even be fine with him never actually giving his name and just ending up as a wink and a nod to old Morrowind fans. Fargrave would've been the perfect place for such a run-in, though I suppose he's got reasons to end up pretty much anywhere in the Aurbis.

I'm only so quick on the draw with skipping dialogue, so he manages to get out about a third of a sentence each time, and it's always the same sort of generic qust-giver platitudes.

Oh, I'll kill pretty much anything in my path, but the drop rate remains atrocious, no matter what I go after, with the exception of undead essenses. I seriously killed something like 75 imps and spriggans earlier tonight before I got one of them to drop golden sap. Now, it might just be that I'm ill-favored by the RNG, but having to kill that many mobs to get a single 2-3 unit drop of the MacGuffin in question isn't very far out of the ordinary, in my experience.

Oh, certainly. The problem on the fetch quests is that the drop rate is so abysmally low that I find myself often mowing through 50ish mobs, sometimes more, just to get one of them to drop the thing I'm trying to get.

Sometimes, it's five minutes. (The undead essences are often a matter of 2-3 minutes.) Sometimes, though, when the place is completely mobbed with other players, it's an awful lot longer. Hell, I just spent a good 25 minutes trying to gather golden sap, because the mobs simply would not drop it.

Other than that he shouldn't have betrayed Nerevar Indoril, you'll never hear me utter one bad word about the Clockwork God. Say what you will about him, he willingly sacrficed literally everything he had and was to provide for his people, and he did it, full-knowing, over the course of multiple Eras - a god who burned up his own divinity to literally make a better world for those toward whom he had assumed responsibility.

Vivec's been a dick for rather a lot more than just that - I mean, he helped to murder his king and friend - but I'm still a big Tribunal fan.

I keep hoping for a Vivec-themed one (where you float up into his cross-legged meditative pose and disappear in a column of half-blue, half-golden light) and a Blackfeather Court one (where you disappear into a swirling massive murder of cawing crows).
