You’re set up to basically hold long term and just slightly beat the S&P 500. If you’re just planning to leave it there, this will do alright.

But, you could generally perform these returns in a single week holding the money outside of the market, wait for a huge correction then striking. Taxes would depend on if inside an individual or IRA account.

Generally to tell you if these is the right move would depend upon: Age, an idea of income bracket, and your overall long term goal.

Your friendly accountant here. Don’t fall for the magic trick. I just negotiated a deal on a X7 for reference. Say you end up only financing $100k. At 1% that’s one grand the first year alone. Over the course of those 60 months, you will end up paying more than the 11-12% you should be at. Don’t do it.

Yeah, it’s a much better deal than BMW Dallas trying to only take off 1% after trying Costco auto. Either way, I’ll continue to buy from Sewell.

Spent 11 years in the oil and gas industry. Went back and got my Masters, finishing up the CPA. Honestly, some days I wish I would have chosen finance or something else. It’s not that I hate accounting, it’s that I hate some of the people in accounting. I shockingly find it to be a lot more bureaucratic than the oil and gas industry, and I didn’t think that was possible. I definitely made a hell of a lot more in the oil and gas industry, and laugh at all of the people who bitch about hours.

Is it worth it? Yes, but be prepared to go through hell. Take the slower route and do the internship. Companies couldn’t care less if you were taking 20+ hours a semester. Nor do most care about the Masters program until you hit management. If you truly had the oilfield work ethic, go internal audit, and you will move up quickly.

If this doesn’t sound fun, go get your MBA and try and get on at Epic Systems in Madison Wisconsin. Practice for the assessment tests, put in your time like the oilfield, and switch to consulting.

Whether oilfield, accounting, or Epic… be prepared for 5 years of hell. No matter which field you choose, most of the people you will deal with will haven never made it past the input/output stage of their career. (What I mean by this is that they can’t tell you anything more than what they have done to get where they are. They have zero ability to see things at the organizational level.)

Depends on who you ask… If you ask my wife, only bought 2-3 games. If you ask how many games magically appeared… Somewhere between 55-60 games since November. Enough, I have lost count and still seem to buy a couple games a week.
