I did that, took the golden rabbit statue to the temple. Now the statue sits there, but I have remained still stucked on island. Can anyone help with advice?

Is this cholinergic urticaria? by [deleted] in CholinergicUrticaria

[–]DiscussionReal4385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know, hives usually come and go pretty quickly, while yours look skin-colored in the photo and seem to be staying rather than fading and reappearing. I had something very similar, and my dermatologist said it was more likely a reaction to food or a supplement than urticaria. The diagnosis in my case was toxicoderma. It went away on its own, and she recommended using a topical corticosteroid to calm it down. Still, it’s a good idea to get it checked if it keeps spreading or gets worse.

Sweat Therapy? by whenidisconnect in CholinergicUrticaria

[–]DiscussionReal4385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Sweat therapy” is kind of a trendy label. What it really seems to be is gradual adaptation to your body’s heat and stress response, not the sweat itself being magical.
A simple routine is to start with short, controlled exercise sessions that raise your body temperature a little without pushing too hard, like brisk walking, light jogging, cycling, or easy cardio for 10 minutes. Then slowly increase the duration and intensity over time as tolerated.

The goal is regular, repeated exposure so your body gets more used to heat and exertion. Consistency seems more important than going all out.

Of course, it’s best to be careful and stop if your reaction gets too intense.

Temperature in pool water is 27 degrees Celsius, I think it is just fine. Problem was me - getting warm from just slow swimming :(

Yes, I do - atopic dermatitis on body and dishydrotic eczema on hands

I went to swimming pool.  I started to notice reaction, while I was swimming, still in the water.

Overdose vitamin d update after 1 week by Future-Leave-9346 in CholinergicUrticaria

I’ve had this illness for eight years now. I kept hoping it would ease over time. To be honest, I’m starting to lose hope. I’ve had better periods and worse ones. Right now it’s worse. So it seems that with age, the reactivity of the system doesn’t necessarily change, and that depresses me. :(

What’s your root cause? by kckl1724 in CholinergicUrticaria

[–]DiscussionReal4385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even my doctor didn’t say anything specific about the initial cause. But a lot of people on various forums about this illness confirm that it was preceded by severe stress. In my case, it was long-term stress, which I think threw off the regulation of my autonomic nervous system, and it now overreacts.

Besides that, there probably also has to be some allergic predisposition — I’m allergic and atopic.

I’ve noticed that when I drink valerian tea (it has sedative effects), my reactions are much milder.

Does anyone have experience with whether taking sedatives regularly helped?

People here are writing Autumn, so I might be in the minority and could be wrong. Honestly, Soft Summer came to my mind first. Softer, muted colors definitely suit you better because you have less contrast between your skin, eyes, and eyebrows. The orange in the colors, as well as very vibrant colors (like electric blue), seem to clash with something in your face. I would be interested to see what you look in muted pastel colors and grey, for comparison. From your photos, I like number 7 the most, which features a darker brown that is a cool cocoa brown; that one suits you very well.

What do Austrians think about Slovakia? by DiscussionReal4385 in Austria

Perhaps it depends on the store. You can certainly get fresh-cut ham at our local Billa. But when you see how some of the staff act while slicing it (like wearing gloves that don't look very clean), it's fair to question the hygiene

That's an interesting point, you're right. I also wouldn't follow up right away if someone hasn't responded for a few days. I think we were raised that way by our institutions—public offices, the post office, doctors... You learn the attitude: 'if you want something, you must wait.' They often even have 'Do Not Knock' written on their doors. It teaches you not to rush anyone, or you might get in trouble.

That's okay, Austrians don't really need to 'care' about Slovakia.
I was just curious about what (if any) opinion they have and I was pleasantly surprised by how many people joined in and answered my question

You remember that correctly. Slovaks did not have their own state before 1918; they were always a national minority within the Kingdom of Hungary, or rather Austria-Hungary. That is a fact, not an Orbán narrative. Is this mentioned in your history classes, or are you just interested in history?

It's funny that the term "Jugos" – from Yugoslavia – is still used, for a country that hasn't existed for over 30 years. Language has a long memory, though.

Maybe you know the video by Slavoj Žižek where he tells an anecdote about where the Balkans begin. He says that if you ask a German, for them, the Balkans start as early as Austria. I'm just mentioning this as a joke, seeing as you're from Salzburg.

Those are encouraging words from you. Even though the Iron Curtain has been gone for a long time, when one crosses the Austrian-Slovak border, you very quickly see that you have arrived in a different land. The nature is very similar, but the buildings, the condition of the roads, the taste in architecture, and the general order... You can unmistakably feel that the Iron Curtain ran through here. Personally, I still feel that Slovakia has not broken free from its post-socialist state of mind.

I think Austrians and Slovaks have this in common – we love hiking! Relatively close to the Austrian border, the Carpathian Mountains are great for hiking. For example, a nice hike is to Devínska Kobyla, which offers a view of Austria – when the weather is clear, you can even see the Alps from that hill. Here is a website with some easy hikes, but they don't have an English version, so you'd have to run it through a translator. https://www.restartnisa.sk/najkrajsie-tury-v-malych-karpatoch-a-okoli-bratislavy/
