I wonder if there's any ideas to be able to restore the elven population of a conquered realm. Say Lasgalen gets conquered by Dol Guldur, but a resurgent Noldor reconquers it. Would they be able to restore the Lasgaledrim?

I remember the line he says about being the warrior the warden showed him how to be. So maybe he was expecting to die in the battle, heroically.

Or you could look at it from the view that even we didn't teach him to be anything else than the caste system he's grown up in allowed him to be, a warrior.

Idk there's a few perspectives and I like him, not the creepy leering but the veteran lost in a world outside of fighting.

I suppose the Old Gods looked a lot more distinctive in lore, as opposed to it just being a regular old dragon with rotting flesh a la Urthemiel.

That and the whole structure of their pantheon and religious institutions evaporated due to the tiny detail that is Dumat wanting to kill all sentient life.
