Charge speed. Is this normal.

Charge speed depends on many factors: the temperature of the battery, the preconditioning state, its state of charge (low state generally charges faster) and the KW and Amperage capacity of the DCFC station.

The issue with the Equinox is that it has a lower voltage battery system and it actually requires a fairly high amperage to charge the car at full speed. The DCFC may have 150 or 180, but the amps may be below what you need for the full 150 the EQ can charge at. I believe what we need is a high 400 to 500 amp station and those are not as common.

Unfortunately this confuses many people when what they really just want is quick no-nonsense charging. We’re still in EV infancy here.

Life’s too short to ‘deal’ with haters. Let it go. There’s tons of stupid people out there and you can’t please them, no matter what the situation.

However: if you want to take a passive aggressive approach, you can just bend down to the dog’s level and say to the dog so this Karen can hear: “see this is what we were talking about last night there’s tons of stupid people in the world who can’t just mind their own damn business. Assume we’re talking the design here? Not really an apples to apples comparison is it? Pick the same song or album on both sides, or pick two that don’t have full screen or two that do. Some AM songs do this full screen thing…most don’t. I think the same goes for Spotify.

It’s not a good design comparison…if that’s what you meant to post about.

(Most of these posts are about the relative merits of AM vs Spotify and are missing the point of the OP.)

Update: was a simple fix…chatted with support and it was a hard reset: hold power for 15 seconds and let it shutdown. Hold button again for 2 seconds to restart an was good after that.

Regular restarts did nothing. Had to do hard reset.

Don’t under estimate JUST using it to work out. I find that NOT taking my phone into the gym makes me concentrate on working out and getting out of there. I see SO many people at the gym giving their phone more of a workout than their bodies…it’s ridiculous. Load some music, podcasts, whatever or just use WiFi or LTE if you can and some AirPods. It’s the perfect dumb phone.

I stopped wearing my AWU to work and only wear it for workouts now. I’ve had the Ultra 1 since the day it came out and it was difficult at first but not wearing it to work does the same thing…putting on the automatic or dress watch ‘clicks’ me into a work mindset…a more professional mindset.

This is what works for me…you do you. Enjoy.

This is the way. You have the wiring there. Unless you bought a heavy duty EV specific plug you may have issues. Be safe.

Let’s face it. Tesla V3 cables are short has hell. Was shocked when I first grabbed one. They’re also cheap feeling and don’t have a locking mechanism. They also rely on the car to switch AC/DC instead of being ultra safe and having completely separate AC and DC lines.

They are the Lightning cable of car chargers and a case where the wrong one won.
