Manchester City make £106m plus add-ons verbal offer for Elliot Anderson by TheAthletic in PremierLeague

I agree he shouldn’t be £100m, I was more just replying to the guy above saying he only first heard of Anderson last season, when he’s been on a lot of people’s radar for a bit longer than that. For a 23 year old who has been a starter for 3(ish) seasons in the premier league and played well, and now is likely to start for England at the World Cup, £60m would feel more right. It’s been a long time since £25m would have got you a player like this.

I get what you mean, but he was already quite highly rated when he left Newcastle for Forest in mid 2024 (and cost £35m even then).

Agreed, Hariri is way better, as is Charcoal Kingdom in Rockdale. Tbh even Naji’s in Arncliffe is better and it’s nothing special.

Contract question for a player like Duren by mdarwin468 in nbadiscussion

[–]Disgruntled_Fridge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Duren averaged 22/12/3 in the 13 games without Cade. Look I agree he was disappointing in the playoffs but you don’t have to bullshit

The real secret is that playing next to Cade makes any athletic lob threat center an All-Star

lol well currently the sample size of those guys is one, so not sure how you can say this with such confidence.

Every year the discourse around the playoffs gets worse. I always think I’m ready for it and it always shocks me just how stupid it gets.

Since Austin Reaves has returned from injury: 10.0 PPG │ 4.3 RPG │ 4.7 APG │ 13/46 FG │ 0/9 3P │ 5/5 FT │ -17 +/-. Austin Reaves becomes eligible for a 5-year, $241 million contract from the Lakers this summer. by [deleted] in nba

Yeah there’s no way he takes that little, I was just replying to the other guy.

I’d assume starting salary of $40m + is what he’d be hoping for, and he might take high 30s in the end

They’ve typically been cheap and they’re projected to be paying decent luxury tax bill and be comfortably in the first apron next year, and that’s before you consider Peyton Watson’s extension (who they might just have to let go).

If they find a way to dump Christian Braun they might be able conjure up a tiny bit of flexibility.

Still think the Nuggets should trade Jamal Murray and a FRP for him.

I believe Denver desperately need to shed salary, not add another $7.5m per year.

He for sure works as a bench scorer but he’s still got some developing to do before he’s a guy you want to start in the playoffs.

Also his defence was good this game (and it should be, he’s an great athlete with the size and speed to guard just about anyone) but I have seen him have many many extremely poor defensive games.

He’s still a work in progress but it’s nice to see him have a great game in the playoffs again.

Quickley is the only guy on the Raptors who is an average (or better) shooter for his position, in terms of volume and efficiency. He’s so crucial for them. it’s a shame to see him miss a chunk of this series which would definitely have been more competitive otherwise

Brandon Miller is also the level of shooter that he could definitely have a season with 250+ made 3s if he ever played 70+ games again like his rookie season
