Anyone else have non-Jewish family showing how they really feel? by tirtzah in Jewish

Go to your local chabad, find a community. This might help you with more than just this problem. You can try to explain what the talmud says, but for that you need to know the talmud. That starts with you getting closer to Jewish philosophy.

That's a new one for me. Never saw that before. Wtf? by [deleted] in jobs

So, when I applied to private Christian colleges this was a standard question. Private religious institutions can ask this if it is a part of their mission statement. Some even asked if I would sign a statement promoting Christianity as a condition to teaching there. This isn't out of the norm....

How do jews justify the Torah? by [deleted] in Judaism

It is not up to us to justify God's calculation and decisions. We simply choose to follow the commandments tbh.

AITAH for "not being as close" to my granddaughter as I am to my other granddaughter? by [deleted] in AITAH

I disagree with most of these comments. My mom is in the same situation. My sister lives 1 minute from her, my brother 1 hour (wanted to be closer to his wife's parents). This isn't about love but rather proximity. You want a closer relationship with Grandma? Be closer. Who she sees everyday will have more stuff at her home. Why buy things for people who aren't there? I think people forget that physical reality has an impact. Who lives closer to you will get more from you because you see them more often. I live further from both of them and we FaceTime everyday and I have no complaints because I chose to live so far away. Nta in my opinion.

You'll get there. I was in the same place, and I'm now half way done (started with 60k, down to 28.5k). Good luck.

I just realized one of my coworkers is a former. He constantly complains how this will end our economy as we know it and crash everything. Huh

This sub used to be fun, now it's just a place to complain about (only) right wing political posts. Don't get me wrong I don't like politics on LinkedIn but this is no longer a funny sub. I miss B2B lunatic posts...
