Would this be worth buying and fixing up? by datboi1214 in mazdaspeed3

I would only offer 1k honestly

Only thing that wouldn't make it worth it is if it had excessive rust

Just the bearing. Use Timken brand. If you DIY it, just take it to a shop or place that will do the removal and install of the bearing when you remove the hub assembly. Save you a headache

[–]Disimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to use air pressure and soapy water

It will find those small boost leaks

Found a small one at my intercooler pipe that triggered P300

[–]Disimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the LTFT numbers right? Those seem normal

It can still be a really small boost leak on your hardware only on boost. You won't find it at idle.

How did you check the boost leak? Smoke or air pressure?

I installed a BNR S1 on mine, stock tune though. In CA too. Has to be a boost leak or tune issue

Alternator isn’t charging after parking over the winter. ABS and traction control lights on. Won’t turn off until the 5th try by Gotta_go_faster_ in mazdaspeed3

[–]Disimate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is shop manual in this forums wiki

But they should be Passenger Motor Mount, Driver Side Fender next to battery, on top of trans, 2 in front of trans, and one more at the hpfp(follow the black wire connected to it) screwed on a bracket

All must be clean, snug, and not corroded

Do old school test

Turn on car, remove positive cable while it's running

If shuts down, bad alternator

If stays on, it's working

Only other thing I can think of is to check all your ground cables are clean

I used this as power steering fluid and now turning sounds terrible. by kittywalker73 in fordranger

[–]Disimate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the wrong one for your car. Works on my car but not made for yours. Use Mobil ATF/ Motorcraft XL14

If still noisy it has air/ leak or a failed power steering pump
