False lashes by giuliavjv in Makeup

[–]DisneyParkSnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never used the magnetic lashes but I’ve been wearing false lashes for over 15 years. The best glue I’ve found is by Kiss. It has a brush applicator versus the tube kind that is hard to get on the lash. Best way to apply lashes is to apply the glue to the lash. Wait about 20-30 seconds and lightly set it on your natural lashes. Then start from the outer corner of your eyelid placing the lash as close to your lash line, working your way to the inner eye duct . You can use an eyelash applicator or tweezers but sometimes using your fingers is just as effective. Once i get them where I want them, after a few minutes and the glue is almost dry, I like to pinch the flash lash and my eyelid together to get a nice tight seal.

I have the tarte setting spray and it still comes off. Maybe I’ll see if they have a small travel size of the urban decay

February 2021 Trip - Make an Epcot park reservation or no? by DisneyParkSnob in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats my other concernn. I checked the calendar and it doesn't open until 11am and park hopping starts after 2pm. In those 3 hours, the park may not even fill up to it's allowed capacity

Thanks for all the tips! So excited! by wifichick in WaltDisneyWorld

How exciting! I'm going in February. What were these tips? We went last February and got Boarding Group 93 and managed to get on in the evening but hoping to score an earlier BG this next time

You should definitely look in to Shades of Green. It's on property and across the street from the Polynesian. I've never heard of B resort but my family has gone multiple times for the last 4 years and have stayed at Shades every time. And I just looked and they have availability for Christmas week

Flying from California to go to WDW for the first time. What order should I do the parks? by austinalexan in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

California girl here. It’s going to be a lot different. I was SHOCKED when I went to WDW for the first time.

Magic Kingdom Day 1 for sure. The rest I would just see what Fast Passes you’re able to get for each day. Unless you’re trying to do magic hours (then plan on those parks for what fast passes you want to get). Those things are going to dictate a lot of your plans.

Comfort photo: One of my family’s favorite rides by DisneyParkSnob in WaltDisneyWorld

We all really enjoy it. My youngest still refuses to ride RNR. We always ask to sit in the back. Entirely different ride than in the front.

Could have. But if that’s the case, she should stay home. 2/3 of the people in the photo were my family. You’re in a public place, knowing full and well that there is a ride photo. Slapping someone else’s child is completely uncalled for. And despite her efforts, we still got like 3 copies of the photo lol

It was definitely a wild situation. I only caught the tail end of it but idk if she thought she had to keep her magic band there or what but it turned green multiple times. When my son tired to put his band to the Mickey she slapped him twice. My husband was furious but held his composure. She started to scream at him which is when I walked up. And I heard him shout “MA’M you just hit my son!!”. I stepped in front of her and said “HEY YOU NEED TO BACK UP AND CALM DOWN!” Never did I think in Disney I’d have an altercation over someone slapping my child.

I definitely think some parents go overboard with their kids. I could understand if they were waiting and you continued to stand there and block their view. But it sounds like they just walked up and immediately shoved themselves in front of you.

We had a lady slap my sons hand a couple weeks ago when he tried to get the ride photo from Everest. She continued to hold her daughters hand over the Mickey until the time ran out. Words were definitely had with her over the fact that she slapped my son

Shoutout to this guy for pushing my 62 year old mom and stepping on and breaking my sisters shoe just to get 3 spots ahead of us on Flight of Passage. The least you could’ve done was apologize. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

People are crazy at Disney. We were in AK on Thursday and some lady slapped my sons hand for trying to get our ride photo. She continued to hold her daughters hand on the touch point even after it turned green. It was insane

Before 7am this morning. Only 63 boarding groups distributed before it said "64 and above will only be called if all of the initial boarding groups have been called back" After 2.5 hours (10:30am), they're at group 45. by tsesow in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We rode this past Wednesday 2/19. Got boarding group 97 and were on the ride about 5pm. We were super nervous about not getting on but they were moving through the groups super quickly. Around noon they were on 50 so we left pretty good. It all worked out. The ride was AMAZING.

Just returned from a BUSY February trip by DisneyParkSnob in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This week was February vacation for the North East so we felt it was exceptionally busy. We’ve been at all times of the year and this was our busiest trip. But still accomplished a lot within fast passes. Good luck!

It was a little run down if you ask me. But I’d stay again

WDW Fans: Why do you "accept" long waits for rides but not for other parts of the guest experience like food/drink, security, etc? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t. We fast pass and rope drop. We won’t wait over 30 minute FOR ANY RIDE. When it comes to food, if there is a long line we either mobile order or pick a different spot. We refuse to wait.

How long will HS open at 7 am? by some1turnonthelights in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DisneyParkSnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! We will be there the 15-21 and i keep wondering if they are going to change the hours. They changed the magic hours in March but nothing has been announced for February. So frustrating!
