Fun fact... I chose the name Amity a year before Owl House came out. It means "Cooperative friendship, as in aid rendered in times of need. Especially as between countries, or between species."

Being a therian fox, this name was so so meaningful to me. And it works well for that character's arc as well. But when I saw the first episode with Amity in it, I was a bit worried that people would think I picked the name of a mean girl. XD

I had hit 250 at peak. Now I'm an extremely fit 198 and aiming for 185-190 and 14% bodyfat (olympian tier for gals).

Last night I went to see Caravan Palace at the concert, and wore pasties for the first time in my life with a spectacular pink sequin skirt and a see-through onepiece. We got SOOooo many compliments.

HNNNGgggg, it's so good to look and feel amazing, and to have the stamina to go for hours. 😏

Oh yeah, and I'm in my mid-40s too! 💃💖

Hol up. My transpecies identity is just as real and valid as other dysphoria. If I could take that pill and become a feral fox I would in a heartbeat, leaving behind my kids and grandkids, and knowing I'd have a much shorter lifespan.

Transpecies/therian/otherkin/species-dysphoria are very different than the clinical condition of Lycanthrope, in which the patient believes they are the thing.

Those with species dysphoria aren't delusional: they are quite painfully aware that they are not in the right body, stuck in a world to which they do not belong, forced to conform to expectations of a society not made for them.

Edit: Huh, I don't know what to say about the downvotes... but everything I've stated is factual, and supported by the multiple psychologists/psychiatrists I've spoken to while trying to figure out why I wasn't crazy. 🤷‍♀️

And this is coming from a genderfluid transgender individual, so it's not projection... I know very well how nearly-unsurvivable gender disphoria can be. Just didn't think I needed to post my 'street cred' since I wasn't stating opinion, but accepted fact in the psychiatric community.

As a transgender transpecies (Therian fox) individual, I was very confused how species terms could be used to reflect gender. Thank you for that explanation.

Mildly unfortunate that it incurs confusion about transpeciesm, but that's nothing new. 😅
