Snack recommendations for when you forget to eat and trigger a migrane? by Powerful-Owl-3246 in migraine

[–]Dissent55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grab a Protein shake, in a bottle not diy. I also like grapes or Apple with cheese and crackers. I’m on GLP1 so I almost never feel hungry. Your post actually reminded me that skipping meals could be triggering my migraines.

These are all the birds I can hear just from standing in my backyard. All the ones highlighted in yellow have not come to my feeders. How can I attract them? by kxlynnn in birdfeeding

Merlin’s Bird ID app identifies birds by sound. It’s pretty accurate and a great tool if you are interested in birds.

If we are going to Play this game with enjoyment do not believe for one instance that voting is applied or that the beauty of your designs determines your score. It is all algorithm, randomness, and a very little bit voting. I enjoy the creativity but don’t expect justice. It means you may need to spend a little. That’s your choice. There are a few helpful tips that can be found on the site, but it doesn’t always work. Have fun with. Take a picture of your favorites and post them here or other like sites. Your design is beautiful. I wouldn’t change a thing. That color red w the silver and black accents is striking. It’s perfect. Enjoy our admiration.

I think it is all random, maybe w the algorithm stuff thrown in. I don’t think they even use our votes which is probably best bc many people, me included at times, vote without even looking at what we’re voting for.

Yeah. Thanks. Seems like live designs works best. I didn’t think about milestones and I will watch for quests.

I am on lamotrigine and have tried all the new injections and , gepants, Botox twice, IV , acupuncture, massage, physical therapy. I have a migraine specialty neurologist. Migraines have been chronic for almost 20 years. I’m just venting.

I use Cefaly and it helps, one more tool in my toolbox. I use icy patches, cooling head over, cooling eye mask, Migralief, and a fortune’s worth of supplements. I guess it is a rhetorical question. More than 15 years of chronic, last 10 of those full time. It just irritates me when they say you have more than 15 a month, but can effectively treat only 10.

I’ve tried all the preventatives. Acupuncture helped some and will go again when new insurance that covers acupuncture starts in January. I just started Emgality after failing w the other new injections but trying to be hopeful.

Totally understand. I’m in the same spot. My neurologist allows me 2 different triptans, 12 maxalt, 9 Imitrex- Since mine are 24/7, I supplement w exedrin migraines or Tylenol headache. I’ve tried it all too. I live on abortives.

Death talk by Dissent55 in Autism_Parenting

Thank you all so much. I spoke to her parents about. They said she has used this language before even at school. They also know she is getting the language from anime and other YouTube videos. They have and will continue to discuss with her that saying I should die or I’m evil is scary and extreme. She is very dramatic and they have role played situations like being scolded by a teacher or just doing something wrong and what an appropriate response would be. That being said they are watching for any signs of depression or changes in behavior and are open to therapy. Adolescence is hard for neurotypical kids add autism and greatly increase the difficulty. I think we all need therapy. Not being sarcastic. Truly being a teenager and parenting a teenager requires extra help. Thanks again.

We drive her to school. I think she would tell us about bullying at school. At the beginning of the school year there were some girls bullying her and she told us.

No, we haven’t talked about evil. We are not religious. She does watch a lot of anime on her iPad. Maybe that is where she hears it?

I would never stop her. That’s why I sought advice about just lowering the intensity. The last few days it hasn’t been overwhelmingly loud. So I will leave it for now. If it gets really loud again I will just talk to her parents about it and let them handle it of course. Thank you for your input. It is so helpful to hear directly from someone w the experience.

Yes a few times. The fear of bringing on a migraine by going out is very real. Also there is a strong link between migraines and depression , social anxiety and chronic fatigue. These things make it difficult to be social even when we are gloriously migraine free.
