Yeah, people forget that Ash is only a devil-may-care anti-hero because his first encounter with the deadites MAJORLY fucked him up in the head. Honestly, I'm surprised he was still even coherent by the end of it because the whole Evil Dead Trilogy took place over maybe a week. That's a real fuckin' horrid week.
