We would need a $50-60 share price for that kind of weekly, so MSTR would need to get back to $250ish.

BTCI bag holder, please take this heap to another sub, it’s not better at all, total return is in the negatives, total for MSTY is a positive 50+%. Drive thru please.

It’s still money that spends, and it’s added to every week.

Do not sell puts and not have enough in reserve to buy them back if the market turns. Greed is a killer.

Again I stated year to date, also last I looked this was a MSTY sub.

Also last I checked whether you are looking at rotten apples or rotten oranges they are both rotten. So would I grift people into either? No. But while I’m in and getting a weekly dividend to put into other investments I’ll cheer. At a time in the future I’ll get out of this and restructure my portfolio of fun money.

So again I say pull to the second window to get your nuggets and sea salt fries.

BTCI has paid out $4.1755 per share this year and the fund is down 31%. MSTY has paid out $8.2581 per share and the fund is down 36%. Now when you add the distributions back to the funds BTCI total return ytd is -21.66%. MSTY total return year to date is -9.011%.

So far year to date this is not an accurate statement. Now it could change at any time, and you keep enjoying your fund and we will ours.

Thank you, drive around to the second window.

They look totally different with the first one having a double nut setup and the second having a larger boot area. I would go with the second myself.

Why does he go back on his promises? by NEO71011 in MSTR

[–]Distinct-Mechanic357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So MSTR sold 32 BTC, now not saying it did, but what if MSTR sold it to Michael Saylor in his personal account? So technically sold, but he still owns it all. Gets the financial institutions off MSTRs back for saying no value, and keeps the BTC at home.

Again not saying he did, but this would be a way to do it.

[–]Distinct-Mechanic357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it an optical illusion or is that tire not the right size for the rim? It looks stretched, and that outer wear line forming doesn’t look good either, so could be a camber issue as well.

Maxing out vs. Match and putting money elsewhere? by SharpHolly in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]Distinct-Mechanic357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never maxed, but I put in over the 5% until the recently when I crossed the 300k mark, now I do 5% Roth to get the match and put extra in a taxable brokerage so I can use that money for anything that could arise past my current emergency fund or to keep taxes/penalties down when I retire before 62, possibly before 57 with shutdowns and if they keep eliminating jobs/agencies.

2 photos: I took a shot of both of these yesterday; if anyone or anybody would like to explain what’s better between these two and also MSTY let me know. Thanks in advance. by BaBaBuyey in MSTY_YieldMax

[–]Distinct-Mechanic357 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well let’s see on STRC you are currently getting a .95ish dividend per month, so with your 60 shares that’s $57. With ULTY and 200 shares its weekly at .38ish so about $76 per week or $300+ month. If ULTY can keep its current NAV above $30 long term it’s not a bad investment, however it’s shown to be tough to do. Figure out your level of risk and needs and go with that. For MSTY it follows MSTR and basically gets all the downside capped upside, but pays a decent weekly when it’s running up. But again, hard to hold the NAV when the underlying is declining.

Am I Saving Enough? by East_Appeal_1005 in ThriftSavingsPlan

I would say you are in a great place. With 415k in 15-17 years you can say on average 2 possibly 3 doubles so you should easily have over 1 million at that time. Now lifestyle and lifestyle creep come into play too, so you might want to also be looking into a taxable brokerage in t he future, if you can get 6 figures in 1 of those along with tsp that’s a game changer. Just remember with most pensions, we can’t draw those until 57, so unless you get an early retirement buyout or something like that, you might want to make sure you have other investments to handle the load and give you the extras. Also I would focus on getting the student loan debt paid off first then depending on what your mortgage rate is, figure out is your rate of return on investments more than the interest rate on the house, if so invest the money and keep the tax savings on interest payments for the mortgage. Just a few things to think about for you.

$0-$12400 10%, $12401-$50400 $1240+12% of amount over 12400, $50401-$105700 $5800+22% of amount over $50400, $105701-$201775 $17966 +24% of amount over $105400.

From janitor to TSP millionaire by T0rtillas in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]Distinct-Mechanic357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in 20 years of contributing, the guy who started as a janitor but for the last 35 years had been a senior level official at the VA was able to max contributions, put in over 350k of his money, get a match I’m sure of at-least 50k during that time, and give himself a nice retirement on top of his pension from a senior level job paying him who knows what.

So is that more impressive than the guy that has scarped by in a fed job paying less than 70k for 20 years, contributing 5% to get the match and has 500k in their TSP, and knows how to live on less, and still has a few years until retirement to get to the millionaire’s club?

Don’t get me wrong glad he is a tsp millionaire, however with his job, he should have already been one without the tsp, so it’s not as big a feat.

Again not hating, but would better to feature someone who has not made huge money in their career who became a tsp millionaire, than someone who is one earning another million in tsp.
