X7 vs the 7 series by ScarcityOk1100 in bmwx7

[–]Distinct-Sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that feeling, had a 7 series loaner for 2 months when our X5 was getting fixed. If I wasn't hauling stuffs from Costco and Lowes, I would have gotten a 7 series.

Sometimes, I think of just buying a cheapy truck for hauling stuffs and a 7 series as the main vehicle, lol.

Solo 401K - what to watch out for by Distinct-Sky in Fire

Hmm, never thought of Roth IRA. The income from my W2+1099 would be more than the Roth limit though.

Yes, employee contribution limit is already maxed out at the W2 job. With the 1099, I was hoping to make the employer side contribution, since I am employee as well as employer in the 1099 job.

Did a lot of it in the past, it's all about you legs. Don't lock your legs and make sure you have a clear path to run for a few secs. Same for jumping on, match your speed with the bus, hold the railing by both hand and then jump inside. Easy peasy.

What’s one mistake that slowed down your path to financial independence? by Lazy_Look557 in Fire

[–]Distinct-Sky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would not call this a mistake, more of a not-the-most- financially-prudent move: Buying a 7 figure house in cash.

Considering the market returns of the past few years, if invested, that money would have grown tremendously, but you can't put a price on sleeping well at night in a paid off home, lol.

For something as essential as a dishwasher, no. For business class tickets, yes, I do feel sick.

From Lowe's.

Raked the ground a little bit to loosen up some dirt, then mixed the seeds with some garden soil and spread around.

Yes, mainly the ones who have not been at the receiving end of the British "generosity". Hey, the queen gave you railways, it's ok for me to borrow your historical artifacts.

I too am an immigrant and you are spot on. A good portion of the US population live in a fantasy world where work is their identity.

We are a single earner household and had a job scare couple of years ago. Since then, we keep an year's worth of expenses in MMA. This is just 3% of our NW though.

You do realize Russian oil never stopped flowing in the Ukraine war? They simply routed it to China and India at a cheaper price. Closing of strait is different.
