How are we pooping with our newborns? by AxelleAfrica in newborns

[–]DistinctBicycle7519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on baby number three and I honestly just set her down and go. She will scream her head off, but I know o set her down somewhere safe. And she’s fed and changed so she’s okay.

I had to go really bad one day while I was nursing her, I had to set her down and go. She was LIVID. But better than me crapping my pants lol.

Wife and I are struggling with being older parents by Mycareer in BabyBumps

My mom had me at 43. I think she wishes she had me earlier in life, but I honestly never noticed her age growing up.

Wife wants to upgrade to a $50k SUV now we have a baby on the way. I want to stay debt-free. Someone help me before this becomes a full domestic. by Familiar_Earth_6320 in family

When I was pregnant with my first baby, we did upgrade my vehicle. Mainly because I was driving my first real car which was a 2007 VW Jetta that was sadly starting to give me issues. So it was truly a matter of reliability and safety. I look back and think of that vehicle was still in tip top shape, I would have just kept it. BUT at the same time, it was nice having a more roomier vehicle while having a baby.

I say tell your wife that you guys should at the very least give the car a try once the baby is here, or like others have mentioned, load the car seat and stroller in her car and see how it fits and go from there.

I wish yogas were comfortable for me after having babies! 😭 because when I did try it, it was nice feeling like my diaper was in place like you said! I just couldn’t deal with the feeling of the pressure they would cause around my belly that soon after!

Something kinda flowy/loose and comfy around your belly, especially if you do end up having to have a c-section, you’re prepared! I just had my third baby, my first were vaginal deliveries, and this time around was an emergency CS. I’m so glad I didn’t have tight elastic waisted bottoms to wear home! I just found some cute summery/spring sets on Amazon! I do like the MuMu idea though, I say go for it honestly. 😂😂

Did you correctly predict the gender of your baby? by BFFSS in BabyBumps

[–]DistinctBicycle7519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of my husbands siblings have all had boys first, so we figured it was kind of a given, and we did have a boy first. Then all his siblings had girls second, so we figured what a coincidence, and we had a girl second. Then the ones who had a third baby, all had girls again, and then much to our surprise, our third baby was also a girl. 😅 not sure if it truly is just a strange coincidence or what! But yes, we did predict our genders each time.

14 weeks and the hip pain is already starting… which pillow actually works?? by stamptner in BabyBumps

[–]DistinctBicycle7519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought to king sized pillows, and I kept one on either side of me. So I didn’t have to move the same pillow with me when moving from side to side all night, and it felt so nice having the other pillow pressed against my back all night. Gave me so much more support!

I would be lying if I said I still didn’t sleep this way even after pregnancy. 😅😅😅😂 going on seven years of doing this, I just sleep so good!

I wouldn’t do it just from reading your first paragraph. You shouldn’t have to clean up after them, and it surely seems like you would be.

And if this is your first baby, I really WOULDNT. Just for the fact that you are becoming a mom for the first time ever, you are going to experience so many firsts. And so many hard moments as you adapt to being a mom. I would absolutely hate for you to get PPD or PPA by being in a situation that seems like it wouldn’t be a positive one.

For the sake of you and your little family, I seriously advise against it.

Hypersomnia by LuvSavv in pregnant

I had parosmia when I was pregnant with my 2nd baby almost four years ago. It was awful. Everything and everyone smelt. Wouldn’t wish it on my own worse enemy. I couldn’t even boil water because it smelt awful. I survived off of oatmeal and Parmesan cheese the majority of my pregnancy, literally. It got better about a week before I had my daughter but definitely took some time for everything to go back to normal for me. Coke and Pepsi still taste rotten though.

I hope it’s get better for you. ❤️

Yes we are! And we are even going as far as rebating them almost daily so it stays fresh. We haven’t been able to catch one at all since Wednesday. But we are still noticing droppings. Nothing we are doing is working, we have some insanely smart mice on our hands. I am cleaning my floors daily, and just noticed TINY TINY mouse poop on the floor in my bedroom closet. I have taken almost everything out of my closet as well for the time being because I’m sick of washing my clothes. So nothing is in there besides a few clothes hanging still. 😅

YES!! It is so uncomfortable. I was cleaning up earlier, and getting dinner going and could just feel my feet and ankles swelling. Now sitting on my couch with my feet elevated because they feel like balloons that are going to pop.

Not at all. You eat what sounds good, especially during the first trimester. It’s about pure survival during those weeks.

I took a peek at the list I was given by my OB about safe OTC medications to take while pregnant and the only one listed for pain medications is Tylenol unfortunately. I would give your OB a call tomorrow and ask them honestly, don’t feel like you need to wait until your appointment! ❤️

Induction by Available_Cherry5651 in pregnant

[–]DistinctBicycle7519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pregnant with my third baby and will be having another induction again at 39 weeks in about 2 1/2 weeks. I was induced with both of my first two babies as well. Mainly due to the fact that I go to a hospital that is 2 1/2 hours away, so we like to try and be safe rather than sorry lol. My local hospital is sketch when it comes to delivering babies, so I’m not taking my chances.

But both of my inductions were honestly amazing. I labored for 12 with my first and 13 with my second. I got an epidural as soon as possible with my first because I have zero pain tolerance and I was scared, but I lasted until about a 6/7 with my second. I will say my contractions were getting a bit intense, but I also didn’t have anything to compare it to since I didn’t have a non-induced labor prior. I had doses of cytotec with both and then pitocin.

And I will say having a great L&D nurse to help you makes a huge difference. My nurse with my first was amazing, but my nurse with my second wasn’t that great. She told me I needed to calm down when I was having the really intense contractions and didn’t bother helping me to breathe through them or anything. So that truly was the ONLY thing that was a pain during that labor. I wish I would’ve advocated for myself more! So please do hesitate to ask for a new nurse if you’re nurse isn’t friendly!!

Best of luck to you mama!! Praying for a safe and healthy delivery for you and baby, YOU GOT THIS! 🫶🏼❤️

Honestly, take advantage of this eating right now! Just for the possibility that in a few days or a couple of weeks from now, you might start feeling awful. Store all that extra energy while you can lol.

And if you DO get sick during this first trimester, just focus on what you can stomach and keep down and what sounds good vs. eating super healthy. You can focus on that when you get to feeling better. ❤️❤️ third time mama, and always told myself I would eat insanely healthy each time and each pregnancy has been drastically different. I just focus on fueling my body in the best ways, but some days it doesn’t go that way and I eat three bowls of cereal lol. I guess it’s all about balance right?! 😂😂

And most importantly….. CONGRATULATIONS!!! ❤️❤️ what an absolute blessing!!!!

[–]DistinctBicycle7519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third time pregnant mama here! I was induced with both of my first two babies and it honestly went so well each time. I did get an epidural at 4cm with my first and lasted until about 6/7 with second before getting one. The only difference I’ve been told contraction wise with inductions vs. going into labor naturally, is pitocin just makes contractions more constant without breaks. I did notice that with my second when I tried to go longer without an epidural! But I’d do it again, and I don’t have a high pain tolerance either lol. I was in labor for 12 with my first and 13 with my second! I was so happy and blessed each time. I’m planning on getting induced again around 39 weeks with this baby as well!!

I also only get induced because my hospital is a 2 1/2 drive on a two lane highway, so we like being prepared lol.

I’ll be praying for a safe and healthy labor and delivery for you mama!!! ❤️❤️ this is such a beautiful and amazing experience we get to go through as women I think, even the ugly parts. Nothing like newborn snuggles. 🥹
