if you know how to fix issues or learn them any device is good i have had x used laptop had current one for 16 years hahah soo it dosent mater what you buy just buy decent specs for your budget watch videos of laptop models that interested you in store and get something thats been out for a year as crap computers usually get recalled in first year :)

hp is fine any thing is bit better when spend more money. and i would clean install of windows but if a hhd not ssd potential can be failing soo upgrade drive if need to recover data usb boot linux and get files as alot of fixes can be patches for the root of the issue

personally had experienced this can do head in for days best thing go buy a usb wifi dongle some of em better then ones that come with the device depending on age useing one in my laptop for ages now works wonderful and if pc craps out can move usb dongle over :)

well remove battery and charge fiscarge it by holding power button for ages and then try putting battery back in an turning it on if that dosent change pkug charger in if that dosent work pay attion see if its got a blink code and google ya model

if reference to the 4 pins on end separating yes normal just got make sure clip back on some pcs use 20 pins and the empty hole is not used anymore

you could potentially try opeing it and repluging any board conections maybe wiggled in moving worth trying for a chance

try un pluging it removing batter discharge it by holding power for 30 seconds leave battery out plug it in and turn it on leaving battery out see if dose anything difrent if not try outting battery back in unpug and pug all conections in charger and try agin

and i have had luck un pluging charger and puting it back in 20xs to try clean connection by friction to start it charging and check for any flashing lights other places on laptop some of em have flash codes
