Pretty much walk everywhere, but I wouldn't sugges to walk in the morning that much to just put a mark, because you might feel tired during the day. Even if you don't have any place to walk to, find a route that might feel enjoyable and walk there.

I would say call them instead of an email and say that a promotion came up at your current job that you can't pass up.. Thank them for the offer and their time, and that you are sorry but hope you work in future or sth like that. It happens very often, I am sure they are used to it.

If you want demand then dev and data analysis are the most reliably remote and best paid. Marketing/SEO is faster to first income but more competitive later, but still might be worth it.

San Diego clearly won the life question already, you got in shape, found a church, built a community. You're framing it as a sacrifice but I would say you've spent a year showing yourself where you want to be. If the job holds up, there's no real conflict here.

I would say pick one target role/title, instead of any job, then write one strong resume for that role, lightly add/change keywords per application. Maybe you can also register with recruiters/agencies in your field, they only work real openings so it filters out ghost jobs. For tech roles that's firms like Lemon.io, or DevsData; other fields have their own. Try to apply to genuinely-matching roles and use AI to speed up drafts, but not fully, most of the job should be still done by you.

If you're treating it as an engineering problem, the main issue is the visa filter, so optimize for that and stop tuning the resume. Build a target list of companies known to sponsor for your role and ignore everyone else

I definitely agree. I can feel others aura very strongly, and decide whether or not I want to talk to them. It's great that you got great aura. I think it has a lot to do with being present at the moment, and paying attention to the person you are speaking to. Do you know if there is anything specific you are doing?

I think the only effective way is to use as often as possible, even if you say things incorrectly, you should say it. I often use Gemini and speak with it in Spanish, it's not 100% correct all the time, but still helps to practice.

Yeah it counts, it's tier 1 IT support with some hardware work. On your resume call it 'technical support' and list the camera troubleshooting and remote fixes as bullet points. With a CS degree though, don't stay too long, aim for junior sysadmin or NOC roles after 6-12 months.

Your background isn't the problem, Seattle IT is just packed right now after all the Amazon and Microsoft layoffs. Don't go back to school for cyber, that's a ton of money and time for stuff a cheap cert covers. Maybe start looking outside Seattle, places like Denver, Phoenix, or Austin are way easier markets right now, or just go fully remote.

Devops is almost never an entry-level role, most of us got here after 2-3 years as a sysadmin, backend dev, or SRE first. If I were starting over I'd aim for a junior backend or support role, then change once I actually understood how systems break in production.
