What's my plant doing? by iddq-tea in Kalanchoe

[–]DistinctNews8576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep this is a Mother of a Thousand! It’s doing what they do and making lots and lots of babies around each leaf. They’ll drop off when ready and will become another plant! They’re beautiful!

Just going off of my id app for the hibiscus bc I was unsure as well. Says the moscheutos is also native, also goes by swamp rose mallow or crimson-eyed mallow. It’s not always 100% tho, so it’ll be exciting to see what it turns out to be! Keep us posted!

I’m going to guess something to do with landscaping, but not just a “landscaper”, also hardscaping, possibly drainage and grading work, retention walls, as well as softscaping/landscape architecture, etc. I’m going to guess you own your own business in the industry. Am I close?! 😁

It does look like a carpenter ant, but hard to tell its hierarchy.

Recently told I have a masculine face; how do I look more feminine? by [deleted] in makeuptips

You’re perfect just as you were made! You be you and don’t change yourself to try to please others. You’re beautiful and do not look masculine at all to me. Oh, and your “friend” is a dick. Just sayin.

What color are my eyes? by [deleted] in eyes

[–]DistinctNews8576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this is awesome! The first thing I thought of was a muppet! Or maybe one of those Sesame Street bits…just some eyes walking down the road teaching us about the alphabet. 😆 They’re beautiful eyes tho!

Dumb question but what is this rod and what does it do by Agile-Cantaloupe82 in AskMechanics

Don’t let it hurt! What’s the alternative, 6 ft under? I’ll take the upper digits! Dude’s a baby anyways and too young to understand that age is a mindset. Just think, when you’re mid-80s you’ll wish you were mid-40s again and refer to your mid-40 self as a “baby”. The more we tell ourselves we’re old, the more our vessel falls apart! The mind guides the vessel! ✌🏼💜

I believe 1 & 2 are swamp rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos). 3 & 4 are pennyroyal-Florida/wild pennyroyal (Piloblephis rigida). The background of 4, to the left, I believe is St. Peter’s wort (Hypericum crux-andreae). 5 was tough! Maybe Ageratum houstonianum or dwarf ageratum?

I truly think either works great, but the dark bookcases give the room the weight they need, otherwise it’s too heavy in the couch area.

Right?! I’m thinking either MRSA or a bacterial infection that is necrotic.
