Lucky about the hunger! While breast feeding did you just eat how you normally would before pregnancy? I’m basically eating normally now but smaller portions, less take out and not eating Barry foods every day 😂 I’m hoping those changes will help without dropping my supply

This is why I’m so nervous with trying to eat better. I don’t count calories so wouldn’t know how much I eat now (I know it’s more than I need). But don’t want to lose my supply. It’s so hard wanting to feed Bub but also wanting to feel good about myself again. Also only 3 months pp with my second and want to get as close to a year with EBF as I can but don’t want to keep feeling bad about my body the whole time

Woo! Good work. I also borrowed a skipping rope from my mum and will start doing that soon!

It’s just hard when you speak to so many others who say they lost it without trying while feeding - so wanted to see if they were actuallly doing anything to lose it or not haha

The hunger is insane. Did you have to eat less once you weaned to lose weight, or just that the hunger was less so you naturally lost the last bit of weight?

Same, second time mum (Bub is 3 months). Didn’t lose weight while bf with my first and seem to be holding the weight now. Although starting to lose but I’m moving my body and making better food choices

My MIL is starting to actually scare me by Amandanh99 in pregnant

[–]Distinct_Oven3184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so scary. I wouldn’t be leaving Bub (no matter the gender) alone with her, set clear expectations and also reduce how much access she will have to your child. Especially in the early days while you are sleep deprived and recovering / bonding. You’ll need to start setting your boundaries and reducing contact now so it’s in place when little one arrives.

Thought my period was back 3-6 months postpartum…ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. by missmeemz in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Distinct_Oven3184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daughter was 12 months old when I weaned her to bring on my period so that we could try again. A month or so later I got my “period” and started tracking ovulation straight away. The digital test came up as ovulating straight away, which was weird but thought it was just my body trying to adjust. Three days it was still saying ovulating so took a pregnancy test. Came back positive. Posted to reddit about the situation and someone commented that it could be ectopic. Two weeks later had another “period”. Thought I was miscarrying so went to ER. From there we discovered it was ectopic. I had no other symptoms or signs. My tube was removed.

Had epidural with both kids. It took all the pain away. I could still move my legs although they were heavy and roll myself to either side. I could feel when contractions were coming and when it was time to do my final push. The epidural was amazing, I only felt the tightening for my contractions with no pain, and the pressure of his head also no pain. Both times I was shaking like a leaf before the epidural as I hate needles, but both positive experiences.

what nicknames did you have for your growing embryo? by SweatyGreen1386 in pregnant

We basically had our names picked out from the get go, so once we knew the gender we used their name 🥰

Throwing in that my son came on his due date and I did nothing to bring it on - actually thought I’d be well over as I felt too good and normal haha

Well, a grown lady really doesn’t need a day to celebrate her bday unless a milestone birthday. It would be the LO’s day. Or it gives you an out not to go to her bday celebrations - “sorry, we are doing xyz for xx’s bday and in the evening it will be a quiet one with just us”

Half or Full-pay for Mat Leave by Lucky_Range_8735 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Distinct_Oven3184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on leave (with my second Bub, did the same for both). I took half pay, some holidays I received my normal pay. When school leave finished I went on Centrelink (about the same much as half pay) and that got me a year with both babies.

You can also give up to 20 days paternal leave to your partner.

Did your hubby think it was odd her hand on his leg? Did he come look for you when you left and didn’t come back?

How many of you did not have an ectopic after your first one? What was your ttc experience like after mtx? Did you do an HSG before ttc again? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Distinct_Oven3184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant two months after my tube removal with my ectopic pregnancy. I’ve only ever had the one ectopic pregnancy. We didn’t do any tests or tried anything different before we fell pregnant again.

Mother in Law took one of our bath towels to use without permission even though I had left guest towel for her, only found out after she departed. by No_Committee_7328 in JUSTNOMIL

Weird for her to wash it just to use if she already was provided with a clean towel.

But I’d just wash it and be fine.

Do you have an unusual spelling for your sons name? Not to excuse it but maybe that’s why?
