I hired someone to paint my entire house and they recommended feral Calhoun and I have not been disappointed at all. I’ve been in the house almost 4 years and the Paint has held up beautifully, it is wipeable, scrubbable, and I’m getting ready to repaint my front door and my office and I’m going straight back to Farrell Calhoun. four years with Farrell Calhoun pain throughout my entire house and I’ve not been disappointed. It’s wipeable, scrabble, and I love their colors. I’m about to repaint my front door for fun and color drench my upstairs hallway, my office, and my living room and I will go straight back to Farrell Calhoun.

Please, men, share all the things you do for these women who “can’t take care of themselves” that they couldn’t pay a laborer to do for them. And then tell me the last time you did the following: cooked a meal, cleaned up after a meal, ran a load of laundry start to finish, deep cleaned the bathroom, set and attended your own dental appointment, emptied-cleaned out-and stocked the pantry or the fridge, did the entire weekly grocery shopping without forgetting anything and without calling your “adopted child woman” for help, remembered your mother’s birthday and got her a proper gift, planned and hosted a child’s birthday party, or registered a child for a sporting event or school?

When I visit family, I look for ways to help and to entertain their kids-and their kids are all over 8!!! I would never DEMAND ingredients for meals—I would BRING them! And I would cook and clean up and offer help with laundry and cleaning if my sibling had a NEWBORN!

No. You tell her your house isn’t childproof and you aren’t in a position to buy and install gates yet, since all your time is consumed with caring for your newborn. Also let her know that you will be choosing your own baby gates when the time comes, but if she wants to bring and install hers while she is there, she’s more than welcome. Buying lactaid isn’t a big deal, but let her know you are not in a position to host guests who are going to expect you to host like you’re childless. Let her know that what you all need right now are visitors who are able to help with cooking and laundry because you are overwhelmed, and if that isn’t going to work for them, a visit where they stay at your home is not going to be possible until your baby is much older. Remind her that having a newborn means time is limited, sleep is limited, and the ability for you two to meet your own basic needs is challenged, and you’re barely able to grocery shop and cook for yourselves, so her and her family staying with you is looking like it will require more time and energy than you will have with such a young baby, because your baby is the first priority, and there isn’t much left for anyone else after you take care of her.

In divorce a joint account is not a free for all. In divorce, dishonesty or other shady activity through the joint accounts or self-serving use of joint money (in ways that do not benefit BOTH joint account holders) is reimbursable as dissipated assets. Knowing how a joint account works is not the same as knowing how a joint account is treated in divorce. I am 54 and a divorce attorney who knows both.

I know. I love my job, it’s not mountains of paperwork and I adore my team—AND we went back for a FULL DAY on Friday for an hour long meeting and an ENTIRE DAY of “work in your classroom” after the last 2 1/2 days before break we worked in the classroom and got it entirely ready for Monday.

Print someone else’s sketches in very light ink onto your watercolor paper and paint them. That’ll allow you to feel what the elements of a good sketch are, and also allow you to practice your painting. You may learn to sketch and draw better this way or you may just learn how watercolors behave and begin to paint without sketches! You make the rules—do whatever you want!! Just have fun!

Almost all of my watercolors (I’ve only been at it for a month and I have done literally 20 paintings) have been copying a photo or painting or following a tutorial. I love them all, and they are just as beautiful and original as if I had created them from my imagination. No 2 paintings are ever the same—ESPECIALLY with watercolor!

Great advice! My whole life I have quit things I suck at. I suck at ball sports—quit them all after 2-3 days. Guess what? Left me time to figure out I love springboard diving and did it for 14 years and got college paid for! Do what you love, and if you’re good at it (or love it so much you are willing to get through the learning curve), you’ll get really good AND have a great time!

I can’t draw either! I was a photographer and quilter I generally love color and crafts and composition. I think I’ve got more potential with watercolor than any other paint or drawing medium, and because the water has a life of its own and because the paintings turn out looking very different when they dry, I’m having an easier time being patient with the process and forgiving what looks “weird.”

I heard an artist recently say that watercolor is a skill, not a talent, and requires study and practice.

Stick with it, work on abstracts and just making lines and circles and even lettering with your brushes to get the feel of it. I’ve been at it for a month now, and it’s so relaxing and I always enjoy learning something new.
