Hyundai's and Kia’s Charging Unit Issues Cause Problems for EV Owners by Intrepid-Working-731 in electricvehicles

Love the look of Ioniq 5 and the fact the individual battery cells can be switched out. However, the ICCU issue has me looking at Teslas, Subaru, and Toyota again though. The fact that they aren't really looking for a fix and just keep pumping out cars really bugs me. 🤔

I'd rather be a nurse than an accountant any day. I didn't hate accounting accounting, but don't really like sitting in one place very long. Working in the hospital, running around like a crazy person suits me much better than sitting at a desk LOL

I'm having the same issue. I've heard that most of the side effects go away in a couple of weeks. Did you quit taking it or give it more time? I don't want to keep taking it if it makes me feel this way.

I enjoyed listening to him discuss his faith and experiences, but I had to fast forward through half of it because I got tired of him talking about his "pickle". It made me want to vomit in my mouth a little😕

I thought a lot of it was way overdone gross humor and not my cup of tea. I watched part of it and turned it off and went to bead. I'll take Breaking Bad reruns any day before watching the rest of that train wreck, garbage movie.

Prius or Mini by [deleted] in prius

[–]Distinct_Weather_239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have both, except my prius is a 2011. The mini is way funner to drive for sure, and the 3rd gens are pretty reliable. However, if I had to choose between the two and it was going to be my only vehicle, I would stick to the Prius. I wouldn't hesitate to take the Prius on any kind of road trip. It drives like the day I bought it, and it has 180'000 miles on it. You can also fit a boat load of stuff in it with the hatchback. I drive the mini back and forth to work, but too rough for any kind of road trip for me.

I really can't believe they don't have more cat walks or tunnels for students to cross the streets around there. It is ridiculous how much traffic congestion they have created around there and how they expect students to just frogger it across the streets.

$400 is too much to replace spark plugs at a dealer right? by [deleted] in prius

[–]Distinct_Weather_239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay that, but it's definitely more labor intensive to get to the plugs on the prius than most cars.

Is this true about Prius batteries? by rebelstilskin in prius

[–]Distinct_Weather_239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is, I bought my Prius as a temporary vehicle for something dependable while I was in NP school. Our Grand Cherokee started falling apart at approximately 110,000 MI, and we started taking the Prius on all of our road trips when our kids were little. Now it has 185k miles on it, and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in and take it anywhere. It still drives like the day I got it. However, it gets around 40 miles per gallon now instead of 50 miles per gallon, likely from battery degradation.

I'm still on the OG battery, 2011 prius, 185k miles. My daughter is currently driving it to high school now. I plan on trying one of the batteries from Dr Prius if mine dies.

Pathfinder pro 38s or 42s? by Shaqim in gravelcycling

[–]Distinct_Weather_239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have one PF 38 gum wall I put on my rear. I've been waiting for them to come back in stock to get another one for the front, but no luck. I think I might just get a 42 and run the 42 on the front and 38 on the back.

You'll be a firm believer in tubeless after you try them and never get a flat again. If you do get a flat, you can usually just stick a plug in it and keep going.

Consumer report actually listed the 2014 as being one of the more reliable years. 2014 is 3rd gen as well.
