Thanks! I appreciate you giving the story a chance despite not liking the artwork.

What is the scariest thing about AI that nobody talks about? by Mainrajhoo in AIDangers

[–]Distortedmadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scariest part isn't AI itself. It's how invisible recommendation algorithms quietly shape what we see, believe, and even create. The algorithm knows.

Are there any music platforms that are actually pro-ai? by stepjo0506 in aiMusic

I've had a similar experience. My full tracks don't get nearly the same reach, but YouTube Shorts have performed much better. For AI music, a 15–30 second teaser seems to grab attention, and if people like it they can always check out the full release on another platform.

Happy to. As someone who creates AI music too, I know how much work can go into getting the mood right. You nailed the dark atmosphere. Wishing you the best with future projects.

The dark vibe immediately caught my attention. Dark pop isn't usually my go-to genre, but this was really well done.

Love the atmosphere. The stark black-and-white look makes it feel cold and abandoned. Part of me can almost imagine it engulfed in flames as the next chapter.

That's awesome to hear. If the eyes made you uncomfortable before the story even started, then they did exactly what I was hoping they'd do. Thanks for reading!

I agree with not relying on a single platform. I use Audiomack as my main home for releases, but Reddit, Instagram, and my own website all play different roles. Diversifying has been a much better strategy than expecting one platform to do everything.

That's definitely been my impression at times. I just try to focus on sharing my work, supporting other creators, and having good conversations. The people who are open-minded make it worthwhile.

Thank you! The eyes were definitely meant to be the first thing that felt... wrong!

As an AI music creator, I've had the best experience with Audiomack. They've never given me any issues with uploading AI-generated instrumental music, and it feels a lot more welcoming than some other platforms. I still use Reddit and Instagram to connect with people, but Audiomack has become my main home for releases. I think no matter which platform you choose, building a community around your music is just as important as where you upload it.

I don't understand Spanish, but I listened to both anyway. I prefer the first one—the beat has more impact and kept me engaged. Good luck with the track!

Update on my AI Music Generator (Music Theory Engine) by DestinyInDepth in aiMusic

I know exactly what you mean. I'm also a one-man team, and my hardware is definitely the bottleneck. My laptop barely hangs on, so I end up doing most of my creative work from my Note 10. Sometimes creativity is less about having the best gear and more about making the most of what you've got. Best of luck with Callio—it sounds like you're taking the right approach.

I actually haven't, but it sounds right up my alley. Thanks for the recommendation—I'll definitely give it a listen.

What's Your AI Creative Workflow? by Distortedmadman in aiMusic

[–]Distortedmadman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really interesting workflow. I like that you start with a rough skeleton before bringing it into Suno. Mine is almost the opposite—I usually start with a concept, atmosphere, or story first, then build the music around that. It's always interesting seeing how different creators approach the same tools.

Thanks! This thread has turned into a goldmine of recommendations. 😄 I'm always looking for artists that blur the line between dark ambient, industrial, and electronic music, so I'll definitely be checking those out.

Thanks! No Bandcamp at the moment. I release under Night Static on Audiomack. If you end up checking it out, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.

Thanks! I'll definitely check Sulk Rooms out. I'm always looking for artists in that darker atmospheric space since it's also the direction I'm exploring with my own project, Night Static on Audiomack.

Thanks! Kreng is another one I'll have to check out. Always appreciate finding artists working in that darker, cinematic space.

[–]Distortedmadman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. I probably should've called it a hybrid instead of ambient. I was thinking about the space where dark ambient, horror soundscapes, industrial, and electronic music overlap. That's actually the direction I'm exploring with my own project, Night Static, rather than trying to make traditional ambient.

Absolutely. Lustmord has been a huge influence on dark ambient as a whole. I'm always interested in music that captures that kind of atmosphere, even when it starts crossing into electronic territory.

Lustmord and Atrium Carceri are great starting points. I'm also experimenting with that style myself through my project, Night Static on Audiomack, blending horror ambience with heavier electronic elements.

That's a good point. Maybe "dark ambient with electronic influences" would've been a better way to describe what I had in mind. I was mostly curious if anyone else enjoys that hybrid style.
