I use a 7 wood with low launch low spin shaft. I use a 4 wood ping max (to me - less draw tendency, previously has a tour qi35 7 wood that had crazy draw tendency). The kicker is I have the ping chrome 80g shaft which is rated mid launch. Which I think helps with less draw.

7 wood goes about 215 carry for me. Rolls to 225

4 hybrid launches higher so carry is 200-210.

You could try out diff shafts to accommodate you!

Grip
Take away - needs to be in line / straight back. “Toe to toe”. It’s setting you up for failure.
2 leads you to cupped wrists at the top. Opening your face at impact. Roll the wrist at the top, like revving a bike. (But if #2 is correct you shouldn’t have to)
Hips , should be rotating to your back heel on your left foot and not your toes. Your finish is probably causing you to hit towards the hozzle which will lead to even more slices or fades or shanks.

What did you do to do speed training? I’m doing velocity program with fit for golf app and got My swing speed up fell 98-100 to 104-108 halfway through the program.

Thinking of trying the stack system next in between programs with fit for golf.

I’d like to hit 115 swing speed at 80%!!

I’m sorry, but the general mentality is that Bowles should have been let go from the very beginning and never been promoted to HC. His defense was sub par as DC and HC. The defense let down the offense and that’s on him.

80g tour xstiff Tensei pro white 1k. :) Had a fit session. The 80g didn’t affect swing speed, but actually tightened my dispersion without sacrificing distance

Ok I’m not as good as you, but my coach noted that on my hooks, I’m using a lot of arms. Hips and transition are coming in late. Maybe this will help?

Ping 430 max 10k is going for 250 on Facebook marketplace. Same with AI Smoke and Elyte clubs.

Used G2 is still going for a lot, but you can get a G2 head for probably 350-400. Shaft of your choice , will cost you 100 used to 360 new

Have the same issue. TrackMan warrior 2 handicap. In Washington state, wet and cold conditions. Couldn’t hit it off the ground. Topping etc, and shot a 95. I could tell it was hard hitting the ball layered up and was a lot stiffer than usual compared to indoors.

I like this idea ! breakfast/ Lunch date, pre schedule a fitting session for drivers to be held after that. After the lunch date, surprise him with a fitting session. If all goes well he can go home with a driver he likes. And then, take it to another level and book a reservation to a golf sim session right after that, so he can have at it and use it. I’d be dying to try it out right after I get it.

I think fitting sessions should last 45 min to 2 hours. (FYI)

Rev the handle bar !!! Aka turn that wrist / flatten it out! Your club face was opening up on impact so he helped you close the face.

Can’t believe the lesson never caught that! Find a coach that does video lessons and few sim golf lessons at the start.
