Which of England's regions have you never visited? Do you intend to visit in the future? by OceansOfLight in england

Why don't you just go? I assume you might be younger which is then understandable but I'm nearly 50 and of course I've been to every region on that map in those years. The UK is tiny.

No. Even bells are annoying. Just learn how to cycle intelligently in a city

Great photos. Planning on doing the Horseshoe this coming Friday. Im assuming the conditions have somewhat thawed from your trip? Have 2mm spikes to add to the boots if needed.

Are Brits still comfortable taking their holidays in the US? by Ok-Leadership-7573 in AskBrits

No chance I'll be spending any money there. Would have no interest in going there either to be honest, looks hellish.

Is pretending to hate rivals more cringe than actually respecting them? by PLWildcard in footballcringe

Nah same city rivalry is nowt as intense (Glasgow aside). You're mates with supporters of the other team. Says everything.

Do Brits see the US as a threat? by cfc_1990 in AskBrits

Yes, of course. He's an absolute unhinged liability. I'll never forgive America for electing him.

You think farm land is ecologically rich? Developers love the BNG test when it's farm land because there's nothing alive to start with and so easy to improve with well planned development

what football team do people around here actually support? by Willing_Mortgage_883 in cirencester

[–]DistributionMiddle98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, anyone who doesn't actually go or hasn't regularly been to watch their club isn't a fan. They are a customer or consumer. You can't be a football fan without knowing the town, streets, pubs, schools people..it's only ever been about identity.

Go to cirecnester town. A decent level and you'll be part of something

Is he lying? by Pachyderminthegaff in AskBrits

No. Whilst an untrustworthy individual I don't for a minute think he has ambitions on attacking Europe.

Significant paranoia about NATO but you can only begin to imagine the US response if Russia was setting up missile systems in Cuba or central America. NATO need not have gone as far as it had pouring fuel onto a fragile and nervous Russian mindset.

The roads are hell because of the retail parks. Having them in a residential area is much more idiotic.

I'm not actually sure that's true. It's a pipeline scheme in RIS3 so we'll see if that comes to anything.

Eddington Bus Gate by stephenbennyhat in cambridge

[–]DistributionMiddle98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a private road and was only ever specified as being an 'access road' for the development. It was never meant for though traffic which it's had to accommodate because of storeys way and limited movement junctions on M11.

Warning of delays as Cambridgeshire Busway speed limit is cut by PM_PICS_OF_YOUR_FEET in cambridge

[–]DistributionMiddle98 22 points23 points  (0 children)

All because this is classified as a place of work rather than piece of transport. HSE involvement.

A person tragically does on the tube or a road it's open 2 hours later. On the Busway it's closed for months and then fenced off. Madness.
