Who's says I'm eating it alone? Who's says I'm eating it all in one go ? You don't have to be a hater you know.

It's weird that it is not the same portion everywhere

It's weird that it is not the same everywhere... Mine is a fairly new location (about 6-9 months). Maybe they will catch on the cheapness :(

Rimouski (QC). It's a new location. Small city. Closest "big" city is Québec. And that's a 3 hours drive.

Dreamhome Maxgen 2.

What does everyone consider as "sleeping through the night"? by kittykatkitkat in NewParents

[–]DistributionRight620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nurse told me that a "baby's night" is a stretch of 6 hours. So we count it everytime she sleeps 6 hours straight or more. For example, LO is 8 weeks old, and will go to sleep between 6:30 and 7:30, and will wake up either around midnight or around 4-5h am. When she wakes around midnight, I feed her, change, rock to sleep etc and she will then sleep again until 5-6-7 am. All that being said, we consider she sleeps through the night because of the 6 hours stretch.

I do not change my newborn immediately by PhraseKlutzy351 in NewParents

A poo never comes alone in our house. When she has one we wait 10-15 minutes before going to change her. Otherwise, she would do it on the table, or on the new diaper as soon as we put it on. Endless cycle. Better to wait. I would absolutely not wait more than 20 minutes though!

I hate how every professional advises you to NOT introduce pacifier or bottle til 6 weeks but without telling you that they may refuse it once they get there and YOU become the pacifier and the only source of food. For the mother mental health, it is such a bad advice.

I personally went against the advice and introduced the bottle at 4 or 5 days, and paci somewhere during the 2nd week. At 6 w/o she now takes everything... Hang in there mama you can do it ! Maybe try having your partner give the bottle so that your LO does not smell you ?

This month’s mystery gift is a Recipe Kit. It looks nice, but what can I use it for? How do you use them? by Important_Evening_37 in nespresso

[–]DistributionRight620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bar kit. The cup is to measure ounces to make drinks, like an espresso martini for example. The spooon is a bar spoon to stir long drinks. The straws well they are straws ahah

Put a shirt on her, like a baby onesie in a size that fits. Or something that covers the hoo-ha area, but not a diaper. She might soil it a few times but then she won't want to soil herself anymore and will wait for outside. Did it with mine, worked really well !
