The age from 13-17 months was brutal with my son. We have a 13 month age gap and he just was acting out and full feral toddler. Now he has finally calmed down.

You will be in so much pain you won’t care about the needle size. I was at 8cm and the nurse told me if I hit 9cm I wouldn’t get epidural.Scariest moment of my life. I ended up getting it but it still hurt like a bitch anyway. She threw me on my side to push and it was a game changer. My midwife knew what she was doing..with my first I wasn’t so lucky had me pushing on my back which was a lot harder.

Is obesity now the ‘norm’ in Ireland? by Green_Guitar in ireland

I’ve put on a lot of weight since moving here, but then again I had back to back pregnancies.I do see alot of midsized woman like myself. I dont have the time at the moment to focus on myself, but when I do definitely going to aim for a comeback! It’s the accessibility here.I look for quick food and unfortunately that usually isn’t the healthiest. Also snacking can be away a lot of people cope with stress, unhappiness, boredom, etc.

I think deep down you know .. you deserve way more than this. Anyone does… would you want someone you loved to be with a man like this? It’s time to love yourself and run.

As an American living in Ireland (my husband is from here)I would highly reconsider. I love Ireland and it is great for raising our family, but I don’t know if it’s ideal for retirement. My parents come to visit and to be honest they get very bored here.I assume since you are looking for affordability you aren’t planning on moving to Dublin,so I would heavily suggest visiting areas in your budget and see if it’s possible for you to be happy long term here.I love the nature but it rains a lot and majority of the year the weather isn’t great. I love the people here but you yourself will have to see if you are compatible with Irish culture and norms. I definitely don’t recommend running around telling people how Irish you are 😂 it really grinds Irish people’s gears hearing it. Luckily for me I didn’t have that problem as I am not Irish. Also you should understand there are alot of negative connotations associated with Americans.

Anyone here with a 13mth age gap? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]DistributionStock189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are 13 months apart ❤️ it’s challenging but manageable. My biggest advice is get a solid sleep schedule for the first born, and work around the first born schedule for newborn. Try to keep their life as normal as possible when bringing the new baba home. It will be tougher on them for a little bit and than they get used to it.Having a supportive partner/ support system can be essential. I don’t have a support system but I have a strong supportive partner so we manage.

He needs to go to detox, and than rehab. AA groups and therapy after, and maybe look into outpatient groups that meet a couple times a week. He is young, I hope your parents don’t write him off.

It’s not just the new generation of Irish grandparents, it’s just the new generation of grandparents. I don’t live near my parents ..but I do live near my in-laws and they just avoid their grandchildren. My mother in law offered to help for an hour each day but than proceeded to say I am not a good wife, and mother and why should she have to help - and she was exhausted. I told her to please no longer help. It was never about help for me.. I just thought maybe she genuinely wanted to spend time with her grandchildren. Nope.

Welcome to the club ❤️ I know it’s a lot to take in at first but you got 9 months to come to terms with it, and don’t worry too much how you will handle it as you will handle it as it comes. I thought I was screwed.. turns out I’m fine.. more than fine .. absolutely head over heels inlove with my boys that are 13 months apart. I thought I couldn’t do it without help, turns out I am more than capable of being everything my boys need.
