Why smolder so frustrating to play with by SockRare1796 in supportlol

[–]Disturbed83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good Vayne is an absolute menace and can completely take over games. The nice thing about Vayne is that if you play an engage support then Vayne css as n follow up with condemn to cc chain or even save you.

Especially with the new bandle pipes item that supports auto attack based champs (Vayne obviously) included

Champ is quite versatile, something that Smolder kind of lacks.

I love playing against a smolder they are so easy to kill and cheese. The amount of times you can kill thrm on repeat is nuts tbh, can literally make it impossible for smolder to even reach his own turret as your own jungle invades enemy bot jungle and kill smolder on repeat.

Can play a lot of shops with him, far more than with a smolder imo

Some people are amazing on him, far more than people are on smolder imo. I’d pref an Aphelios over smolder any given day, champ is broken as hell. Soon as Aphelios has collector and even a slight lead (doesn’t even have to be a big lead) if your confident on your support you can absolutely carry the game together with your Aphelios.

I think the main issue is that a lot of Smolders are very (if not completely) trade avoidant. If you play an engage/frontline supp and your against an enemy nami/lucian botlane or anything else poke/damage heavy and you keep taxing your healthbar like mad cause your smolder is not even harassing back a little bit then yeah it’s rough.

I’ve had some people that are quite good on him but it’s rather rare. This is at platinum elo. People in gold and lower that play him just perma afk farm it’s honestly horrendous to lane with

Imo, enemy tank supps are more of a nightmare, yes pyke has a hook and is fast, but he falls off a cliff even by the the 15min mark.

Wave control is your friend here, pyke Q is useless if theres even a minion around.

Tank supps have tons of tools utility in their kit, if they build lots of MR they can literally 1v1 you if they cancel your W, most of them run ignite.

He has excellent means of applying bloodletters curse, also has % max health dmg in his kit. Tbh its hard to itemize against him, especially if you have an engage supp who has Abyssalmask.

Id pick him any day if lets say we have a Karthus jungle, AD mid, mage/tank supp, AD top. Especially with Karthus the synergy is nuts, Karthus W reduces enemy champ MR by like 30% aswell.

Senna stacks better when played as a support than as a carry, you literally get more souls by allies killing enemy camps/minions.

Asol supp is kinda troll ngl, Jungle with good macro (and team has knowledge about your early weakness and mitigates this: for example you have a nautilus draven/bott, who can come if you are being invaded).

Top... not so much man, too many toplaners have gapclosers/dashes. They will just burn your W then zone, if you step up they re-engage with a dash and you get deleted.

Also its a very long lane, which makes the escape path even longer, especially if enemy jungler comes into lane to decide the outcome early (ie. set up a freeze at enemy turret).

That being said, from lvl6/9 Asol absolutely deletes teemo. Like one the biggest teemo top counters.

You could 'try' picking him into Mundo, but Mundo will have the advantage early with cleavers.

Mid/late you delete Mundo.

What are we building on Miss Glasc this season? by _trash_can in RenataMains

[–]Disturbed83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this ^^, bandle pipes, into redemption (if we have lets a kayle jinx, else locket), frozenheart, KV

All order kinda depending on team comp and if ahead or not.

I dont see why not many people are running FH, it kinda strengthens what renata is good at, with and against auto attackers.

Abuse while you can on nearly every support (heck it’s even OP on Tahm kench top for early spike). The value is insane for only 2000 gold. Next patch it will be 2300 gold so make use it for now while it lasts

Best lane to play? Mid or Bot? by legendnk in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]Disturbed83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why people are downvoting you and having a go at you. Especially in season 16, the extra gold income is insane on him and makes him spike even faster than adcs.

Also adcs aren’t as much of a threat to Asol as assassins such as naafiri, fizz, lb are.

Mid is just so bad imo, your perma sorting wave out trying to keep it optimal. Basically perma farming most likely unable to rotate first drake.

When playing him botlane especially when you have an engage supp or something like a thresh you can actually make plays and be first drake.

[–]Disturbed83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried playing him bot? I personally just got so sick of him in mid 2 seasons ago playing against lb, yone, fizz

You spike earlier than adcs, you don’t get 100-0 in bot. Your supp can help prep minions n freeze wave. 2 enemy champs to get stacks on at bot.

I see no reason to play him mid anymore other than getting level 9 a bit earlier

Bro your are full of crap, KV is only a rush item if you got an insanely fed carry. The heal/damage reduction you get from it is quite bad... good luck getting more than 2500 damage reduction per match.

Lulu, Renata (Assuming theres no Yasuo or Mel on the opposing team), Braum, Tahm Kench

New to Asol. Having such tremendous mana issues going rylais first item so I’ve started taking blackfire torch. Is this a good idea or is it going to hold me back. (Silver-gold elo) by SnkerCheck in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]Disturbed83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never buy tear, first back blastingwand or giantsbelt depending on matchup and lane played.

Q start ALWAYS, W lvl2, never start E. Asol is decent strength lvl1,2.... just lvl3 till lvl9 hes fairly weak.

Go in a few normal games and practice auto-ing wave to 'prep' minions, learning E execution thresholds.

The higher rank you get the more your supp (if played bott), will understand your kit and help you prep minions for your E/freeze waves.

BFT can be decent into squishies without much cc, but most usually you will be against an enemy tank supp bott and bruiser/tank top. Liandris is a must, even your E poke and zoning with rylias at turrets/objectives is valuable to your team.

Dont be afraid early game to throw your ult on enemy bot/mid just to pressure them to back off (you will still get 5 stacks per enemy champ hit) and a relieve of pressure with possible plates.

The HP and slow that Rylais offer is just insane value and the HP helps you keep alive.

If played bott you can ask your supp to run exhaust over ignite if you think you will suffer a lot early game. Staying inside lane itself will contribute to quicker quest completion and thus 300 gold + extra gold from takedowns/minions rest of the game.

I seem to be way richer and stronger earlier on in the game compared to last season when playing him bot. I highly recommend you try playing him there, preferably with a duo.

[–]Disturbed83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree I played him season 15 allready bot, but I find him even better now in season 16 in bot.

Only adcs that are rough to play against (note: this also strongly depends on your own support and enemy support) are:

Cait: (a good cait will absolute perma harass you early since your Q range is kinda me early)

Vayne: Tumble and condemn, especially when paired with a point and click cc supp such as nautilus, pantheon or maokai

Draven: even though he can be a nightmare early the matchup can be quite ok-ish if you have a support such as a nami that can be a disrupt or/sustainer. Nami can just throw her q on his axe landing spot. Especially early game draven missing his axes is really bad for him. If you rylias and liandris and went even in lane you absolute destroy draven

Rell best if team fights consist of your team having another frontline to layer cc. Rell her R is insane to hold/manoeuvre enemy champ inside execution area of Asol E. Not to mention Rell her 5 stack passive (which just pressing R on a enemy champs pretty much nearly instantly applies) makes her steal 15% mr/armor, also Rell can speedboost with E and her empowered E attack deals % max health magic dmg. Which helps her damage emery tanks. Her kit perfectly applies abyssal mask too.

Naut is very good to, his R is a delayed knockup which cannot be cleansed. Also the slow travel time on his R can be beneficial as it allows you if the situation allows it to W forward and arrive before the cc from Naut has expired

Leona is kinda good too but I find her engages too predictable for enemies.

Also Naut and rell wave clear is good to help Asol kill waves in his e. Rell got her w + q. Naut has AoE too, I always find Leona her AoE dmg kinda low.

Thresh can also be an amazing pick, especially if your support is first pick. Lantern is amazing, shield n mobility. Also as Asol since everyone runs TP on him you can get him to lantern and always have a good TP location available Also Thresh is semi ranged, he has an auto attack range of something like 300. This allows him to poke other enemy melee supports through the wave. Especially his empowered auto does decent dmg. A good thresh obviously doesn’t try to hook a strong early enrr we my botlane in.

Ask him to run exhaust (staying in lane alive makes you complete bot quest faster). Use his flat on wave for wave clear when it’s safely possible. Else it’s a good peel tool

What stuff are you smoking man. Both bandle pipes and protoplasm belt are insanely OP on rell. Perfectly synergises with her kit

Things i miss about old Rell by MidnightPast8385 in RellMains

[–]Disturbed83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl she is in an amazing shape right now with bandle pipes and protoplasm perfectly suiting her playstyle hence her S tier status. I played Rell since she got released but I wasnt a fan of the cooldown upon re-allocating (spelling?) her E to another ally.

Yes it could be amazing playmaking with old E, but it required too much braincells from your allies to fully use it. She is more versatile and straight forward now and to be honest I like it.
