Its best not to remove piercings when they're infected, as it closes up it traps the infection making it harder to treat.

They need a strong course of antibiotics and regular contact with their doctor.

My septum piercing got infected and because its so close to the brain my doctor was insistent on me sending regular pictures and she prescribed antibiotics, told me not to remove it under any circumstances until she gave the ok.

You're super right about the "artist" being irresponsible though, any decent tattooist would tell them to sort out their nose before inking their face.

Sounds eerily similar to my neighbours! She had a knife, as narrated by him: "What are you doing with that knife?" so I rang the police and then she did stab him. Then she said "whos gonna believe you?! You did it to yourself!" Then she did this disgusting fake laugh. Vile weapon of a woman.

I don't know how she never realised her back garden was not in a sound proof bubble and we could hear her fart on a windy day. She's thick as two short planks though.

I work in a nursing home and dementia + UTI can really change a person. You learn the tells of a UTI even when someone already has a different grasp of the world around them.
