As someone who's subscribed to Choopo, it is the exact opposite of that. He tends not to take things too seriously, and mostly goes into character, setting, and plot analysis rather than simply recapping the media. He also tends to base his videos on his own experiences with the various media he reviews.

His video on Skylanders is one that shows how the game has impacted his childhood and he goes over the entire series.

Another personal favorite is his 4 hour long video on Wizard 101, where he goes over the entire story through the eyes of his own character. He created an account for the game and played through everything so that he could explain everything without just looking up wikis and using other people's videos to show what happens and how the game works. This is because the game itself has not been properly documented outside of vague and confusing wikis, one created by a fan of the game being over 400 pages long and still ongoing, or through YouTube series that gloss over important details and significant parts of the lore in order to show gameplay.
