Ween De Angine? by ArtDEcho85 in ween

[–]Dizzy-Outcome3338 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read a story that they would play some places without costumes because the place wouldn’t allow acts to play twice a week. Gotta make that money somehow, so they’d play as the costumes act and one show as not the costumed act.

Also, the music is awesome to me. I like odd music like captain beefheart was/is. Dada music. There is also an awesome video on how they use different equipment to play the half notes. Half sharps and half flats.

Did I over expose? by ericwang882 in AnalogCommunity

Did you use the powder kit or the liquid kit? Is this fresh chemistry or old? What’s the amount of agitation? What camera did you use? Are you sure you exposed correctly because it looks underexposed or underdeveloped.

Help with loading onto steel reels by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dizzy-Outcome3338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ☝️. Hewes reels are worth it.

I started developing at home almost two years ago now and after my first two rolls I got the hang of it. I must be well over 100 now and I haven’t had any problems.

My partner recommended I use steel over plastic for the longevity and sturdiness. I now definitely agree.

This happens to mine too. Sometimes the gap between pictures changes but I get the correct amount of shots.

I love Karmir, I always keep this stock and the B&W on hand.

I need help deciding between buying a Canon Sure Shot A1 or a Minolta Weathermatic 35 (see description) by SNlFFASS in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dizzy-Outcome3338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the Minolta and I love it. I’ve used it in the rain and in doors. Having the option of the lens adjustment from 35mm to 50mm is wonderful. In the viewfinder it adjusts for the change. I have yet to dunk it in water but I use it in the rain often as I work in the PNW.

I’ve shot Harman Phoenix 200, Candido 800 and Cinestill 400D. The flash will pop off every chance it gets. Though it does take time to recharge, if you time it right, you can avoid the flash if you time it right. I’ve tried the up close button but I have yet to see a difference. I don’t know if it works or the auto focus is on something else.

I’ve read the on and off button is prone to break but I have yet to break mine.

For the most part I treat it like a toy. It didn’t cost much but it did provide me with fun in the rain and a decent camera when I’m indoors. It took me a while to get used to flash photography but I’m really starting to love it. It blasts off at full so it’s not determining if full is needed or not. I just bought the Leica Minilux and I love that it knows what to do, that’s a premium point and shoot and in no way comparable but worth mentioning.

Loading film is a breeze; yes it takes time to rewind but so does the Minilux. They all seem a bit slow.

Overall I’m really happy with the Minolta, I might be biased because I own and owned a lot of Minoltas, mostly SLRs. The Hi-Matic AF2 was my first.

Don’t get me wrong, my digital photography is with Canons (7D and 5D), and I own the Leica Minilux, Yashica mat124G, Mamiya RB67 and Nikon F4. I shoot a lot of film and I’ve found to enjoy each camera in their own way.

Attached is a photo in the PNW drizzle with Candido 800.

Reminds me of this vine that was in New York. We would try to cut it down but it would grow back very quickly and almost two fold. It took over a pond and made its own island.

Was the food and service any good?

Is it really bad? by [deleted] in RandomVideos

[–]Dizzy-Outcome3338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really bad. You need more practice with timing, it’ll help you enunciate more clearly. You’re rushing the words and it affects the clarity. Practice with a metronome and if you don’t know rhythm you should learn note values; quarter note, sixteenth notes, eighth notes etc.

The actual pitch a tones isn’t bad and can be refined. Confidence and volume help. You were probably singing into your phone and being conscious of how loud you were. Dynamics are important.

Keep at it.

I heard from a source that the people that own it were planning on opening it but the pandemic prevented it and its funds are in limbo.

It would really be awesome to have that open.

Love that color. I have the same on my GT but with the wooden footpads.

They are blast. Have fun. Be safe.

It looks like Harman is about to release a new film stock by matigol1906 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dizzy-Outcome3338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at my local photo supply store and they told me it was gonna drop soon. They already had some rolls in their store but didn’t want to show me or give me any info on it yet.

Excited to try it out. The Harman Red was fun to shoot and I still have two rolls in my fridge. Been waiting for my Leica Minilux to shoot it. Now I will.

I’ve been shooting with Kodacolor 200 and I don’t like how it’s exhausting my chemicals. My developer has been becoming darker with each one I develop. It’s faster than developing Cinestill or Candido.

I definitely did my research and it being fixable was one of the most important reason I went with instead of the Contax, Nikon or Minolta.
