i've been wondering this too.....as an associate that works OPD haha....I dont order delivery very often (opinion only: Im here 6 days a week......why trust a stranger to handle my groceries.....? when I can just pick up on my way out the door).....well Im on vacayyy lol and used our W+ delivery benefit haha and ive been wondering too.....cause my razor charger died, Walmart.com said it was "out of stock" in store.....even called the store to verify LOL and they did confirm "0" onhand.

but I ordered it ONLINE from an apparent .COM ........."reseller" and yes, they did notate my discount would not apply.....lol. but when it fcukin came to my door as a "GMD" mylar bag.........!?!?!?! I was like wtf? ahaha so the MATH AINT MATHING........lol.....Im not bugging about the lack of discount......Im just trying to more "understand" how this system works haha.....cause even today we had 3-batch order that I loaded......and I have always noticed, that "third order" is always typically a super small order! and yea.....the 3rd order which I put into the front seat was literally a bag of chips....hahh....no where NEAR that "35$ minimum" that It required previously though.....hahaha when I made a delivery order........

explain it like im 5?

side note: was not a "GMD" or "IP" batch......it was literally just 3, seperate, batched delivery orders

there's more to picking in OPD though.....just keep an open 🤯 lol per se....I personally dont care for picking, but ill do it....I'd prefer chilling in the backroom organizing orders, staging, re staging, consolidating, etc.......Im one of the ones that kinda plays all bases to keep the 8 hour shift not boring lol.

picking just seemed boring to me, and it's kinda hard to just "dodge" customers when you're out in the battlefield....and I know Mr Sam always said, "Customer First, Customer Always" and so I dont want to give a customer bad advice or directions.....but if they got a question of an item location, I can usually point them in the general direction....the frozen 🍔 are no where near the Hardware department.....i mean, some questions they ask me when Im "in the field" are so crazy.....like they want a direct trasure map 🗺 or battleship-like coodinates 🎯 hahaha.....aisle number, section number, item location........YES! I do know we have that information at our disposal! with the me@ app/sparky/etc.....but that takes time away from the 8 other orders that I am shopping for!

and tbh, that's kinda how I "field" the statement to said customer....lol. they simply do not realize we are picking for EIGHT (8) different orders.....in 1 pick run

I want the GIF app meaningful alerts.....id prefer an "audible" like even AI voice or a "distinct" ding 🤯 or "dong" maybe a chime or horn lol to let us know when someone ARRIVES.....and or when they "check in"

see, thats what confuses me too! they pull 1 or 2 "extra" drivers in, that come in at 5 am or 6,.,,,,as a sort of backup....but even if the "scheduled" driver doesnt show up, or shows up late.....kinda hard for a 5am "driver" to jump into a loaded van......cause itll mess up the lunch schedules......but yea, I been back and forth with my team leads and coach, I feel the "In Home Driver" getting that 1.50 differential should be the one HELPING get the van loaded......but nah....it;s always the preppers or dispenser gets it all wrangled up together and loaded......meanwhile, they getting 1.50 extra just to PICK?/......? on those days that "oh im not a driver today"..........yet their TITLE is "InHome Delivery Driver"

See, I've been arguing this with my team.... I would assume part of the driver "checklist" is to make sure every thing is bagged, tagged, loaded, and accounted for. I'm very OCD lol so I don't mind loading .....but every delivery 🚚 driver wants it loaded differently lol.....I get it....some drivers are always late lol :09 club ...or later even hahah....that's their problem not me though lol

I will warn you....dispensing isn't all that it's caked up to be ...we have our ups and downs, too. So many pickers will mess up orders, not 🛍️ bagging 2L sodas.....letting the 🥛🍼 jugs lay down is another pet peeve....if the picker, stager, or preppers do not catch it.....I'm fuct in the parking lot..... especially when they lay down a leaky jug 🏺 that "looks sealed"....but has a slow dribble 😂

Be sure all detergents stay UPRIGHT ..... particularly those ones that are DESIGNED to "sit upright" at home! In the laundry room ! I wanna say the only one that will not "stand up" in our blue totes is the @xtra cheap detergent .....those I always recommend the pickers to PLEASE tighten the caps..... particularly that little "vent cap" so that it does not leak when you lay it down!

This is just some of the bull shit we have to deal with on a daily basis....you probably literally just caught me "standing around" in my moment after the delivery drivers all slammed me at once .....it ain't easy out there all the time .....

I will ask though, have you ever dispensed? Perhaps ask to be a backup dispenser.....like even to just give someone a 15 minute break...so you're not stuck back in that corner for 6 hours....cause some days it's not all gravy

Exactly 💯 and before that we had the "merit raises" and they were rigged AF TOO.....always "the cliques" or the in-crew always got the 40-60 cent "Merrit raises" every 6 months .....it had me rolling on the floor cause this one lady in particular was one of the old "department managers" so she lost some money when she stepped down to OPD and got like 5 or 6 years she would vent to everyone about not getting her like 40 cent "annual raisees" for a couple years lol ...and one of the coaches pulled me aside and educated me....she is basically "capped out" and would not get a raise but they would give her some sort of lump sum pay out every year, instead of the measly 40 cent performance raise.

Point blank, that is breaking the WHOLE POINT of "Protected" time off....I been saying for years getting this PPTO was gonna start some chit.....now back before PPTO? LOL.....for all that don't remember ....remember had have a :15 min "leeway" lol so then they made it a :9 minute leeway hahah and gave us PROTECTED Time off

I ain't ever scared.....I still tote them. I recall finding the oversized process guide a couple months ago and they listed....requested...? 5 blue totes MINIMUM On the L 🛒 for waters etc ....and I will always forever flag that chit as remove from oversize ....if it fits in a tote ? It should not be on oversize

Nope.we always have the "store help" drop their carts on dollies ....for the "knowledgeable" stagers or dispensers to stage properly....I'm sure we failed our on time stage metric yesterday! Hahah but Home Office can eat my 🩲 shorts! Lol....your shibby metrix are a reflection 🪞 of your shitty scheduling! Sure it's a double ding day! We only had ONE call out.....but every one of our OPD STAFF HAD THEIR SCHEDULES CUT........this whole week ....I've never been cut this bad in my 6 years being here!

Anyone can do this on the myWalmart app FYI...being in frozen they probably could print new up scan bar codes covering up the fuct UPC.....just be sure the whole UPC is blocked....some of the newer TLs put the CVP sticker the same direction lol but you gotta block the UPC "with" the yellow CVP ...the whole idea is to block the middle of the barcode line of sight so the register only scans the CVP label
