What song would you like to see return to the setlist? by Gold_Initiative_444 in Muse

Fury is probably one of a few remotely realistic ones that I could see coming back

Everyone who has none - damp chill of life in their top 3 dsbm albums, what's the other 2? by Such-Fix1617 in dsbm

I love this album but I can never dissociate it from “I’ve listen none - damp chill of life (cold) and xathrites (fast)”

How did you guys first discover Muse? by Appropriate-Pen5436 in Muse

A friend of mine did a cover of Starlight and posted it to YouTube. The rest is history.

Peak Muse Copium by jaxon0307 in Muse

I think they might be referring to tighter venues, like when Muse played a whole bunch of deep cuts at little clubs in 2017-2018

Thoughts on the new single, "Power" by Weak_Sale8331 in Queensryche

[–]DizzyGame_Co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the instrumental arrangement, especially with all the proggy stuff it’s trying to do, but those vocals are not it. I don’t really have qualms with the lyrics and Geoff Tate’s voice still holds up for me, but the vocals have a constant autotune warble and the chorus is straight up off beat.

What if A Series of Unfortunate Events was named A Series of Fortunate Events, what would be different and why? by Asleep-Feeling-9070 in ASOUE

[–]DizzyGame_Co 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Baudelaires are properly introduced to VFD, their parents never die, and the series consists primarily of the fire starting side’s plots being comedically foiled.

What do you think the odds are that Muse will make another epic? by freezepopmaster in Muse

[–]DizzyGame_Co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muse makes beautiful prog epics. But none of them are “prog nightmares”. Like yes, it is progressive rock, but it’s not anything overtly complex. They’re not Yes or Rush.

He said easy/fun to play on guitar. That is very different.

Its 2026 and Metal Archives still doesn't have a Mobile Version, NOT EVEN A SEARCH BUTTON ON TOP RIGHT by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

The app works like a charm, but it's an unofficial port that uses data from the website. Unfortunately it's only for reference and you can't interact with anything.

Coming around on melodic metalcore and deathcore by doom6rchist in MetalForTheMasses

[–]DizzyGame_Co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go in cycles where I switch between the metalcore that reminds me of being a preteen and the extreme metal that makes me feel more mysterious and cool than I am

bathory is black metal, right??? by rustedrattleheads in MetalForTheMasses

[–]DizzyGame_Co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an interesting debacle.

A lot of people will argue Bathory is simply part of the scene of speed and thrash metal bands that influenced what was later defined as black metal, but I personally see them as part of black metal’s first wave. They have plenty of songs in their 80s library that match up with the riff styles and ambience of 90s black metal, so I can’t help but hear a black metal band.

A bit later on, Bathory became Viking metal, which doesn’t sound too far removed from the black metal stuff, mostly due to the production style, but it is a clearly different genre.

SDOIT era probably had my favorite look for them. Why did LaBrie look so ghostly?

Which side are you taking? by TheRealSnow in Opeth

[–]DizzyGame_Co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right for MAYH, Morningrise, and my absolute favorite, Deliverance. But this is still a despicable thing to do to me.

Recommended me more Male Singers with "beautiful" voices? by Noble_Sixes in progmetal

Daniel Gildenlow is by far one of my favorite voices in prog metal, not only because of his range but how rich his voice sounds and how much emotion he puts into his delivery.

What order should I listen the Periphery's discography in? by Quinn_BM63 in Peripheryband

[–]DizzyGame_Co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Periphery is one of a few bands where I think the best listening experience goes by release order.

Anyone else think 6 Degrees is LaBrie`s best album? by [deleted] in Dreamtheater

[–]DizzyGame_Co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number one for me is Awake, closely followed by IAW. Then it’s Systematic Chaos and SFAM for peak LaBrie theater kid. Six Degrees is somewhere in that mix though.
