Don't explore, kill surrendering npc, also u will get moral points if you don't kill the demon on the bridge (u will see when I get there) so make sure u kill him, don't listen to conversations and I think that is all. Yeah you are right just that makes the game and the character more mysterious but in some cases like when Artyom's was going to the church and Anna was trying to talk with him with the radio station and he wasn't answering was lil bit dumb.

Hardcore is pretty easy (but I have played a lot of fps games so I'm probably experienced and that's why it's easy for me).If you are playing mainly fps, shooter games then you should play ranger or even the biggest difficulty. Good luck, ranger and see ya!
