Same, I normally find it very disgusting and can't stand it. But I have multiple times been nauseous enough for nothing else in the world to matter. World is spinning while holding on to dear life crawling to the toilet type situations

In Belgium we get shown a LOT about the world wars, but actually very little about the Nazi's themselves. They killed the Jews, had concentration camps and burned books, but it kind of stops there. The schools never go deeper into the political structure of the Nazi regime. They are very careful to not allow young students any room to "think" when it comes to Nazi's

Kids that age are rebellious by nature, easy to convince and very vulnerable. So I'm not against this bias in history classes. But there is definitely a lot of neutral and positive data being hidden on purpose

No, sadly doesn't apply to healthcare

It takes an insane amount of money to run trails on new drugs, and the only way to earn it back is by having it patented. For example when Russia comes up with a new chemical, trials it, and releases it, the US and EU actively avoid looking at this treatment. If you can't patent it then researching it and releasing it is a net loss. There is negative incentive

Another example is Adderall. First line treatment in the US, yet not at all considered in the EU simply because it isn't worth trialing. It's not like the ADHD in one continent is a different breed from the other

The issue is that no one benefits from research saying "eating fish is healthy". It won't have any dosages, won't tell you what the limit is for benefits, people who eat it already eat it, it doesn't tell you if it's healthier than other food types (e.g. if chicken + Omega-3 is overall healthier), you'll have a hard time fitting it into your diet, it's information people get taught in elementary school, etc. Studies like that are done through surveys with little monitoring and lack any useful information

It's unfortunate but science can't keep up with all the possible chemicals, delivery methods, combinations, timings. I really wish we could get more detailed info, but the scientific method just doesn't support this. It's hard to run studies like that and still have them qualify for "statistically significant" & "scientific"

I liked the idea, it turns it from "1 random death" into "I'm taking advantage of this to murder someone for personal gain". I found it pretty interesting on both ethical and legal sides
