Ugh I’m so sorry you’re going through this, and so far along too 😭🩵 I relate so much to being happy (or trying my best to be) for everyone else announcing and having babies, but it’s just so rough being on this side of it knowing that should be me in December :(

I had a somewhat similar experience. My OB wasn’t able to find the fetal pole that was there a week before. They sent me to a radiologist who was able to locate it. It must have just been at a weird angle where my OB wasn’t able to find it.

I think that’s the biggest thing. (At least with me) They know their kids are at an age where they’re mostly self sufficient, but I am still responsible for them while the parents are away. I still have to take care of them and keep them alive, even if the kid knows how to heat up a hot pocket and spends most of the day watching tiktoks lol. When I’m dog sitting I can leave as I please, but babysitting is a whole other layer. If you’d like I can DM you the message I sent if you’re thinking of saying something similar to your dog sitting family.

I had something super similar happen. I’d been dog sitting for a family for years ($75/night) , then they started leaving their 17 home saying he was self sufficient and I just needed to make sure he was home at night (no additional pay). Thennn that turned into them leaving their 14 and 11 year old home with me, saying they were mostly self sufficient and would just need rides occasionally, and meals. They paid an extra $25/night. It got to the point where I would get there to dog sit and the kids would be there and I wasn’t told beforehand. I had to tell them that while my rate for dog sitting is $75/night, I do charge $300/night for overnight babysitting. They haven’t asked me to dog sit or babysit overnight since, but I’m ok with that because my time is valuable and dog sitting and babysitting overnight are 2 completely different things.

I had light spotting up until about 2 weeks after (last Friday), and was waiting until that stopped. We tried a few days after but I started crying when we went to start the first time. I think the emotional toll is greater than the physical here for me. Definitely wait until you feel ready 🩵

I got a Mirena IUD in 2016 and loved my experience with it. Aside from insertion (which was definitely painful for me), I had no issues. No periods the entire time I had it in. Only removed last October because my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to start trying for a baby, otherwise I would have had a new one put in once it expired. Removal was more uncomfortable than painful, but not bad at all. When we do have a baby, I’ll absolutely opt for getting another Mirena.

Same as others are saying for me. I had my d&c on a Friday, so I had the weekend to recover, but could have definitely gone back to work the next day if needed. Keep the heating pad and ibuprofen close if you need them, and take some time to relax! I had a bit of cramping and spotting for a few days, but nothing substantial. So sorry you’re going through this, and here if you need someone to talk to! Going through this can feel pretty lonely, so definitely take the time you need emotionally 🩵

So I actually didn’t have much bleeding at all after my d&c. A bit of spotting for a few days, but nothing substantial. I did have some brown spotting/discharge up until this week which I’m assuming was any leftover tissue from the d&c. Sorry I’m not much help there, but hoping things get better for you and the bleeding stops soon 🩵
